More Than Dog Training

Caylen was a fantastic dog trainer to work with during our 1:1 training! We contacted Caylen when we were dealing with aggressiveness from one of our two dogs. We were hoping to address that type of behavior but didn't know how to go about it. Caylen's process was very thorough and informative. She wants the entire family participating and we've seen that there are better results when everyone is involved. We were always made to understood what we were doing and why it was being done. She provided us with a variety of information such as training programs, devices, nutrition, and descriptions of behavior to supplement the in person training. Over ten 3 hour sessions, we watched our two dogs transform from impulsive, in your space, jealous dogs to having more control over their actions. They are, relatively, well behaved when new company is around and most of all, they appear to be filled with confidence when around strangers. The final session included a trip to home depot. We were concerned about one of our dogs, who we found had poor impulse control and is something we decided to target after a few sessions. However, we should not have been concerned and it was like taking a walk in a park, alone. We were both astounded at how it went and couldn't believe we'd ever have our dogs be able to do this. Throughout the entire process, we found that we were doing more than teaching a dog listen to commands: we were building an environment for the dogs that contained communication, enrichment, and confidence so that they could live a happy life! We plan on continuing training as part of our weekly routines, due to the effectiveness and our dogs will beg for training from time to time! Once they do better in public settings, we plan on doing some of Caylen's group sessions.

Caylen is a wonderful trainer and just an overall amazing human! We worked with Caylen when our 5 year old Golden retriever was struggling to adjust to having a baby in the house. He was anxious, growling when she was near, and struggled with sharing the attention. Caylen understood the importance of our situation and knew that we wanted to do everything possible to keep our dog in the house and have him know he was safe with a new baby. We worked on basics and focused on rewarding behavior that was positive towards our daughter. After only a few session, our relationship with our dog completely changed. He started to understand that we love him still but also love our daughter. He finally became comfortable enough to play with her as she got older. Caylen’s methods work wonders and she really takes time to focus on the human factor as well as the dog aspect in training. She was there to listen when we struggled with training and was always available to answer questions. I will gladly hire her in the future with our new puppy! She is truly a wonderful trainer and person.

Caylen was amazing to work with. My dog is reactive & Caylen was extremely patient with her from the very beginning. This was my 3rd round of formal training with my pup (first with Caylen) and this time around we really worked on her confidence building. While my dog will never be perfect because her issues stem from genetics, this round of training was life changing. Not only did my dog gain a ton of confidence in the things she’s fearful of, I gained confidence in being able to control her and help her through tough situations. 10/10 would recommend Caylen to anyone. She’s extremely passionate about what she does and won’t stop until she does the job you hire her to do.

Caylen is an extremely knowledgeable, well rounded trainer. She goes out of her way to personalize her training to each individual clients goals and makes sure they come away feeling confident to maintain their training long after the training program has ended.
