Modern Dog Training RI LLC

I just completed the personal training program with Amanda Cassidy. The methods work, the skills she taught us corrected his poor behaviors. She also taught us training techniques and methods that will help us to continually improve. Amanda showed me how to train my Tucker. He is a rescue that is around a year old, and had no training whatsoever. He was uncontrollable on a leash. He would jump on people, he would nip and bite my arms and legs. After completing training he is a pleasure to walk, he no longer bites and nips. He has become a well mannered companion. Thanks Amanda and Mondern Dog Training

Fabio and I attended puppy preschool, puppy obedience, and puppy playgroup and we couldn’t have had a better experience! The team at Modern Dog is experienced and kind, and we both gained the foundation we needed for continued training and growth. Fabio picked up on good behavior from the classes alone, but the team provides homework and support so that you and your dog can keep learning at home. They also were very understanding about scheduling issues and accommodated my shortened timeline for class. Overall, I appreciated the patient and wholistic approach that Modern Dog takes, and I look forward to future classes there! Huge thanks to Amanda, Ava, and Kayla for all your help :)

We had an amazing experience with Modern Dog Training for our puppy, Harry! Kristen is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at working with pups and explaining everything in an easy to understand way. Kristen took the time to fully understand Harry and our family, and always focused on our goals. From the very first session, everything was based on positive, reward-focused techniques, which made training such a joyful experience for Harry (and me!). The methods were consistent across every lesson, and the team provides notes and follow-up after each session, so it was easy to understand and apply what we learned to any situation at home, whether we were working on building Harry’s confidence or addressing his anxiety. We’ve seen SUCH a difference in his behavior and overall happiness, like night and day to when we started. His personality is shining and we get to see him being a fun-loving, happy puppy and I credit that to the positive confidence building and learning that we have done with Kristen and her amazing team. Highly recommend Modern Dog Training to anyone looking for compassionate, effective, and easy-to-follow guidance!

My dog Sadie was extremely reactive towards any other people and dogs. I was moving into an apartment and was worried about small things, such as walking her to the bathroom and noise from other tenants setting her off. After a few private training classes with modern dog (Kelsey), I already have seen a huge improvement!! Kelsey taught me very useful tools to help work with Sadie’s reactivity, and enrichment as a whole. I am now able to take her through the busy complex, and to the bathroom with barely any reaction! I highly recommend modern dog RI for training, especially with reactive dogs.

From the detailed application and behavior assessment to the actual training visits followed by detailed homework notes, the overall experience with modern dog training was exceptional! Kelsey was very knowledgeable and thorough, and patient with us and our need pups! I look forward to continued support and success working with modern dog training! Our dogs and we are very grateful and happy with the results so far
