Lauren & Wesley started their dog training path in the United States Air Force, where they were both Military Working Dog Trainers. After serving for 10 years they left the Air Force & took the skills they learned to the private security industry where they work with Explosive Detection K9’s to protect the public at Dallas Stars games, Dallas Mavericks games & concerts at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. In recent years, they began to share their love for dog training by using it to help the wonderful citizens of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Do you offer payment plans for the boarding and train program?
Yes. We require 50% payment at time of booking and the remaining balance to be paid when you pick up your pet.

Will I be able to visit my dog during the boarding and train program?
We do not recommend this as it is confusing to the dog. It is essential that we establish a bond with your dog in order to establish a happy learning environment. Visits from the owner can impede and delay this process.

Where will my dog be staying during the board and train program?
While your dog is with us, we will mimic their home lifestyle as close as possible and they will be a part of our family. Down time in a kennel is part of the training process. Once your dog is comfortable with our process, they will be exposed to other dogs. There will be social time and play.

What if my dog forgets all his training and I wasted my money?
Your dog WILL forget if you don't practice. If you do not do maintenance work, your dog's focus will get rusty. Luckily, we provide you with all the exercises you will need to keep your relationship with your dog.

How will I learn to maintain the progress you've made with my dog?
When your dog is trained, our job is only halfway done. We then will train you so you can continue the work and reap the benefits of a great dog-owner partnership.

Yes, absolutely! The gift of communication you are giving them will only enhance your relationship and solidify your bond through clarity. We will educate you on how a dog thinks and teach you to accelerate the bond with your dog.

Lauren and Wes are AMAZING! We recently got a Dutch shepherd Malinois puppy that was a little more dog than we have been accustomed to. I found Mission Critical and took Izzy for a two week train at around 5 or 6 months to help with the basics and getting more control. The difference from those two weeks was astounding and helped me get a better bond with Izzy. After Izzy tried to show us how she could escape into our fields with the horses - I decided to reach out to Lauren and Wes again to see if they could assist further and let me tell you - and I use this word a lot when talking about them - absolutely amazing. They worked with Izzy on recall and even came to our property to train around our animals.
They are both always willing to answer questions and truly want to help owners get the best out of their dog. Not only did they train Izzy but trained me as well and leave you with tools and resources to continue to be successful. I 100% recommend them and will likely do further training with Izzy if needed and any other dog I have. They care about each family that comes to them and they are just simply amazing.

Mission Critical is very knowledgeable and takes away the guess work with your dogs training. Not only do they teach the dog, they teach you as well!
They take excellent care of your dogs while they are with them. They do a great job of keeping you informed.
Your dog comes back with lots of skills sets and way easier to handle!

Mission Critical did an amazing job training our one year old Bassett/labradoodle. And a bonus of their training, Bonnie can board there when we travel. Bonnie loves going there and it puts our minds at ease that she is happy and in good hands. Highly recommend them!

Lauren & Wes are fantastic. We started our in home training with our 5 year old GSD who has resource guarding when we rescued a sick puppy. She is not very fond of other dogs so we called Mission Critical ASAP. They started off with certain training techniques to work with her and slowly added new, more advanced work for her. When our puppy got better, we sent our 4 month old GSD for the 3 week board and train and he came back a completely new dog. We are now working with both of our dogs every day with the training that was well explained to us upon drop off of Zion so our dogs can coexist together. We are so pleased with how well behaved he is, we are sending our oldest for a 2 week board and train. We can't wait to see the progress she makes as well with Lauren & Wes!

Wesley and Lauren are OUTSTANDING trainers that not only have extensive knowledge but also have caring hearts that let you know your dog is in good hands! There was no doubt my Izzy girl was being loved and cared for just as she was at home. They took my “spirited” Jack Russell and made her obedient and willing to listen to and follow commands. She is a changed dog! The video updates each week allowed me to see her progress and it made me smile to see her tail wagging, knowing she was happy and connected with her trainers. I would HIGHLY recommend Mission Critical Dog Training! There is no reason to search anywhere else! Mission Critical is the BEST choice you can make! Thanks again Wesley and Lauren!
