Lauren & Wesley started their dog training path in the United States Air Force, where they were both Military Working Dog Trainers. After serving for 10 years they left the Air Force & took the skills they learned to the private security industry where they work with Explosive Detection K9’s to protect the public at Dallas Stars games, Dallas Mavericks games & concerts at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. In recent years, they began to share their love for dog training by using it to help the wonderful citizens of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Do you offer payment plans for the boarding and train program?
Yes. We require 50% payment at time of booking and the remaining balance to be paid when you pick up your pet.

Will I be able to visit my dog during the boarding and train program?
We do not recommend this as it is confusing to the dog. It is essential that we establish a bond with your dog in order to establish a happy learning environment. Visits from the owner can impede and delay this process.

Where will my dog be staying during the board and train program?
While your dog is with us, we will mimic their home lifestyle as close as possible and they will be a part of our family. Down time in a kennel is part of the training process. Once your dog is comfortable with our process, they will be exposed to other dogs. There will be social time and play.

What if my dog forgets all his training and I wasted my money?
Your dog WILL forget if you don't practice. If you do not do maintenance work, your dog's focus will get rusty. Luckily, we provide you with all the exercises you will need to keep your relationship with your dog.

How will I learn to maintain the progress you've made with my dog?
When your dog is trained, our job is only halfway done. We then will train you so you can continue the work and reap the benefits of a great dog-owner partnership.

Yes, absolutely! The gift of communication you are giving them will only enhance your relationship and solidify your bond through clarity. We will educate you on how a dog thinks and teach you to accelerate the bond with your dog.

Luka (our Welsh Terrier) learned so much from his 3 week board and train! He was just over a year old and was full of energy and excitement for life. My 6 yr old grandson was afraid to be around him. Lauren and Wes work with each dog and owner to understand their needs and they get quick, positive results. My grandson now can’t wait to see him and Luka learned to channel is excitement more appropriately ! I love that they offer “post graduate “ boarding and training tips so Luka can continue learning. Wish I’d found Lauren and Wes sooner!

Our large dog, standard poodle, was an out of control 10month old puppy who jumped on everyone, barked constantly at the door and people constantly. Bolted out of his kennel and would hardly let you put a collar on him. He also pulled so hard when going for a walk he could take me out. After completing board and train last October, he has all his basic obedience, no longer jumps and walks on a leash without pulling and does a lot of off leash work as well. He is calm and able to place in the living room and let our grandchildren play next to him/with him without knocking them over. Mission Critical Dog Training was amazing and gave us back a much better behaved dog. Anyone that knew our dog before October can’t believe the amazing transformation. They are the best!

Mission Critical Dog Training is who fellow dog trainers call when we have questions. 10/10 would recommend for everyone from pet owners to seasoned trainers.
Wes and Lauren are true masters of their craft and their ability to help the human side of the leash understand how to better work with the dog is second to none. After shadowing Mission Critical Dog Training for a few days I was able to see almost immediate results from applying Wes’ recommendations to my own training program.

We just got our 8-month-old Cane Corso, Nyx, back from Mission Critical Dog Training’s 3-week Board and Train program! The difference is night and day. I couldn't believe it was the same dog!
Lauren and Wesley are phenomenal at what they do. Doing the simplest of tasks with our dog before training was exhausting! She would pull me down the street during walks (I referred to her as a sled dog), she chewed and ate EVERYTHING in sight (which landed her a VERY expensive hospital visit), played too rough with my kids, and would never listen to anything they said. It was complete chaos. She needed work with house manners, obedience, leash training, and learning how to calm down.
Today, even my youngest child can walk Nyx and give her commands! It's AMAZING! We can't thank Mission Critical Dog Training enough for all the work they’ve put into Nyx and all the things they have taught us along the way!

Wes and Lauren took our 6 month old Malinois on a 3 week board and train. Our Mal was a basket case when she went to training. She is now much more obedient and able to be controlled. We can keep her in her place and take her on walks. We are still working through her transition back into the home, but we are very happy and impressed with the results. We highly recommend Mission Critical and will use there services again in the future! Thank you!
