I would like to train at least one of my dogs to be a support or therapy dog. I have three I consider trainable and sweet enough to do the job, but would need more training. What do you suggest?
I would suggest scheduling a meeting to meet the dogs and discuss your options. It can get complicated and there’s a lot to consider when training a therapy dog. I do have a client who would be a good reference. She trained her own dog as a therapy dog. Let me know if you would like to talk more about this! Thanks for reaching out!

We had our 1.5 year old Bernedoodle, Asher, attend the Basic Boot Camp to help with his leash pulling and recall when he's distracted. It was hard having him gone for 3 weeks but MCC would post videos on his progress and when we finally picked him up, we could not have been happier!! Ross gave us our own training so we could best understand how they had been working with Asher and immediately we saw the results. Walks are now incredibly enjoyable! We can take Asher to places like soccer games and the lake without worrying about him reacting to high distractions. Our confidence with him continues to grow and we are so happy we decided to go with MCC and will continue to use them for boarding!! Thanks to the whole team and especially Ross!!
I love what john has been able to teach and show me he showed up for the consult and I was super nervous he wouldn't be able to help with my dog but he made me super confident in correcting my dog he definitely made me understand that the dog can be managed and kept under control definitely 100 percent recommend them

MCC has been nothing short of amazing! We have a very stubborn soft coated Wheaton that we were struggling to train. We had tried several obedience classes and a reactive dog training class prior to finding MCC. Andy, the owner, was very accommodating and understanding of the issues we were having with our dog. He got us in to the training program as quickly as possible. John was the trainer and I can’t recommend him enough. He’s extremely knowledgeable and patient. He went above and beyond in every way. We can’t thank him enough. He clearly has a passion for his job and the dogs he trains. His follow up after training, gave us the skills to continue training at home after the program was complete. MCC training was worth every penny. We will definitely have John come to our home for additional training sessions. The change in our dog has been life changing for our family. Until we found MCC, I had given up hope that we’d ever get our dog’s reactivity and anxiety under control. Peace has been restored to our home. Thank you Andy, John and MCC for your top notch training and customer service!

We cannot recommend MCC enough! We needed some help with door manners and walking with our dog as we prepared to bring a newborn into our home. John came to our home for a handful of in-home lessons and tailored our lessons to our needs. He worked with our dog on both of these things and so much more. We have seen a HUGE improvement in how our dog greets people at the door. Instead of getting overexcited and ambushing our guests, he comes to us and sits calmly. Walking with our dog is now an absolute dream. I can manage the stroller and the dog with zero pulling on the leash and no zig-zagging to sniff everything in sight. He stays right beside the stroller the entire walk and looks up to us to check in frequently. It was an absolute joy working with John, he was wonderful with both our dog and us! We highly recommend MCC to anyone!
