I would like to train at least one of my dogs to be a support or therapy dog. I have three I consider trainable and sweet enough to do the job, but would need more training. What do you suggest?
I would suggest scheduling a meeting to meet the dogs and discuss your options. It can get complicated and there’s a lot to consider when training a therapy dog. I do have a client who would be a good reference. She trained her own dog as a therapy dog. Let me know if you would like to talk more about this! Thanks for reaching out!

We can’t be more happy with them. We have a malamute (1.5 y/o) and a rescued husky (2 y/o) and their day was an endless fighting and miss behaving. John came today for the first time to make an assessment and showed us the mistakes we were making, helped us with a few tips and motivate us to be better owners.
Tonight has been the first day after weeks that we can just see our puppies being playful and relaxed and we are keeping the training and recommended.
We definitely are considering the boot camp for them to keep improving their behavior.

We had John as our trainer & he was incredible!! We have an Old English Bulldog that had some pulling issues and general manner issues that we needed to clean up. He made things simple and understandable. Along with be available via text/ email whenever we had questions. Couldn't recommend John and Minnesota Canine Consulting more!

I recently did a 5 lesson in home training package with trainer John to help me address some reactivity issues with my 1 1/2 year old mixed breed, Pippa. I had a great experience with it and John really helped me gain confidence in training her. At the end of 5 lessons, we were working off leash, and her door manners improved greatly! I’m excited to continue working on her skills now that I was taught the steps. I used to be nervous walking her because of her reactivity, but now I feel I have the skills to address it if it happens, and feel confident that she will continue to improve. Highly recommend!
