Mid-Michigan K9 Academy - Troy

TLDR: This is the training your dog needs!! Mid-Michigan was the fourth dog trainer we worked with for our reactive, aggressive 4 pound pup Klaus. They were the first to really understand Klaus the way we do and love him as their own through training. He was becoming too much for us to manage and none of our previous trainers had been able to give us tools that actually worked. Two weeks of boarding and training with Jim, Casey, and team and we finally feel like we can give Klaus the life he deserves! He went from being too reactive to bring around my in-laws to laying on the floor calmly while they eat!! (See pics and videos for evidence of how far he’s come!!) We also had them train our less troublesome pup, Primrose, who mostly struggles with lunging for everyone’s food and barking non-stop. She’s also come so far! She’s walking on a leash way better than she used to and responding to commands to disrupt her barking and begging very well! Overall we feel far better equipped to care for our dogs than we ever have! We tried so many other trainers and programs and wish we had found them sooner. Yes, it is a costly investment, but worth every penny.

Incredible redemption story! I highly recommend, if you want to hear more let's dive in: My rescue Doberman was highly reactive towards other dogs and struggled with severe separation anxiety. These traits nearly caused us to separate. So grateful for the trainers and 14 day bootcamp, Coco learned obedience and manners! I loved the updates via videos, sent twice each day. Upon pick up we did a training for me, how to hold the least, importance of treats, as well as commands she learned while at training 'place' 'break' 'site' 'down'. We now walk together, rather than me versus her. She does not bark or snarl at other dogs. Thank you Jim for leading such an awesome program, 11/10.

We did bite work, environmentals, and puppy training with our puppy magnus. He is a cane corso, was there for 4 weeks. Brad and the team send videos, did phone call updates, and loved on magnus as if he were at home. Magnus is able to sit, heel, stay, place, and walk on the leash which he couldn't do when we dropped him off. Due to consistent training and magnus' behavior, he was even able to get on a puppy bite sleeve, which is very unusual and not to be expected with every dog. Brad won't push a dog, and treats every dog as an individual. Magnus is the same loveable goofball with great manners now. We couldn't be happier with the results and can't wait for the next phases!
