FirstBarkI am over joyed with the progress one week at boot camp has made! I 3 million percent recommend!!! Here is a photo of my former door charging girl staying in her place when someone walked in the door!! It takes work to keep it going but I am so thankful for the trainers!!!

About Mid-Michigan K9 Academy - Troy
We created a system involving a combination of balanced and positive reinforcement-based learning techniques. This makes training exciting and fun for your dog and leads them into wanting to perform well for you. They learn faster this way, which is why we’ve been able to accomplish in a week what other training companies take weeks or even months to teach. Leash manners, basic commands, mouthing, jumping, puppy basics, recall (to come when called), pack structure, reactivity, aggression, and impulse control are a few of the subjects we cover, with a special focus on the behaviors which are important to you. What’s more–and so crucial to our system’s success–we show you the techniques to make these new behaviors stick at home.

How often will my dog be out of the kennel?
With 12 training sessions a day, potty runs, and socialization periods, your dog is going to be out every hour, and by the end of the day is going to be ready for a good night sleep. These boot camps are very intensive and keep the dog focused on learning.

How effective are your board and training programs?
These programs are extremely effective and designed to work when the dog gets home. This is why we use a multi trainer method which teaches a system which we can then transferred to you at the end of the training session. Additionally we provide you with many tutorials and coaching sessions to help you carry on the wonderful new changes.

I took my 1 year old pit bull mix to MMK9A for prey drive & overall obedience. We were at our wits end with him, either training or rehoming. He attacked our family cat one too many times. From the initial phone call, to dropping Axl off, to picking him up- there was nothing but great communication from this business. After a phone consult, we decided on the 2 week program. No one is ever comfortable leaving their dog with complete strangers for any period of time, but this staff made you NOTHING but comfortable & confident in them. I received update videos multiple times daily to show Axl’s progress & occasional phone calls to update us on his progress as well. When it was time to pick Axl up, we completed a one on one training guide to allow the trainer to show us everything he learned & teach us how to work with him. Axl came home as a different dog, who just needed a little bit of training & a self esteem boost. I cannot thank MMK9A & their trainers enough for the hard work they put into Axl. They truly saved our home life. Going home, I felt confident that I knew what to do & how to continue working with him, which I feel is HUGE. These trainers truly do care for all dogs & I can 100% confidently say I would trust them with any of my pets.

Mid-Michigan K9 Academy has very knowledgeable trainers/staff. I took my German Shepherd there for their week long bootcamp. What a transformation to say the least. I could not take her anywhere without her lunging and pulling on the leash while we are out in public. Now we can enjoy our time outside of the house together without all the bad behaviors.
