Merit is a great trainer . . . what else is there to say! She saved me from my hyper, strong-willed, mind of her own cockapoo. In the past I've had large dogs that were much easier to train, and I was not prepared for this four and a half pound, eight-week-old puppy named Journey. If I had only known what a "journey" it would be. She is ten months old and has made a lot of progress thanks to Merit.

Merit is very knowledgeable, and truly passionate about helping both pups and their owners succeed. Her puppy intensive and one on one trainings really helped us succeed. The group classes have been very helpful as well. Merit is skilled in assessing issues and giving owners tools to address them. She reads dogs behaviors and gives good direction on how to communicate with your dog. Our little boy loves the day care and the staff really cares about him. He plays hard with the other dogs all day and comes home tired.

Merit is an incredible dog trainer! I really appreciated her attention to detail—not only in helping my dog learn but also in making me a better dog owner. My dog successfully learned how to go to place, improved focus on me, and is now comfortable meeting other dogs. The training was effective, professional, and tailored to our needs. I highly recommend Merit and would absolutely return for additional training in the future!

We had the best experience with Merit! Our dog is a rescue, an older shepherd with some pretty steadfast behaviors. The training, at least for us, was more about what we needed to learn rather than the dog. Merit was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, guiding us through each step with clear instructions and practical advice. We look forward to using all the “best practices” we’ve learned.
