Mariah Dog Training

I only had an initial session with Mariah but I learned so much within that short amount of time. She was very friendly and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I gained a better understanding of the needs of my puppy and effective techniques for socialization, as well as house training. Mariah was a breathe of fresh air and assured me that it was about me figuring out what worked best for my puppy and I. I started out the session anxious and overwhelmed because of my new puppy and the mixed training tips online. However, when the session was over I was less anxious about training my pup and have been able to enjoy each stage of his development. If this is what occurred in only an hour, I am sure that her training packages would be just as effective. I definitely recommend Mariah Hinds Dog Training, even if it is just for an initial session.

I have been contemplating for over a year whether or not to invest the money in dog training for my 5 year old lab mix Bella. Bella was a hand full for me to walk on a leash when she saw other dogs, she would scream out and rear up. In the car she would start crying from the minute she got in the car. We are 1/2 way through our training sessions with Mariah and I have seen such a huge improvement in Bella! All of the techniques she is teaching us are so helpful. Yesterday when I put Bella in the car for a ride she actually laid down from the get go and was quiet in the back seat! When I met Mariah for our first visit in a public area near a local pet store, we had to go to plan B and go back to my home for training. Mariah noted how anxious Bella was in her surroundings with the other dogs at a distance. After several training sessions at home and in the car with Mariah (and practice on my own) I am happy to report last week we tired again at the same location and Bella was a rock star! She was at ease and could look at other dogs without becoming anxious. Bella also learned an emergency call to come right away when in the yard or house and it works so well! I enjoy working with Mariah and look forward to all of our sessions. Mariah will meet in the home, assist in the car, and meet out in public. I highly recommend Mariah Hinds to assist with your dog training needs. The knowledge you will gain through Mariah's training will greatly improve your ability to handle your dog and strengthen your relationship with your pet.

I am so happy we were referred to Mariah when we were looking for someone to help us train our pup, Lucy! Mariah helped us with general obedience (sit, stay, etc.) but also helped us navigate some larger issues we were having with Lucy's separation anxiety. She armed us with force-free training methods so that we can continue to work with Lucy on our own, and was always available to answer questions or clarify the "why" behind her approach. Mariah was extremely easy to coordinate with, and was proactive and professional in her communication. She is so knowledgable and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. We would (and have!) absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for effective, force-free dog training.

I first called Mariah when my BC Katie was 6 months old. After a number of scary experiences on walks, Katie had decided she didn't want to be put on the leash and would dodge away from me! Mariah got us over that the first session so we were able to get back to our walks and working on other Katie issues. At 4 months she started being reactive to people, dogs, people in motion, any sudden changes in the environment, and sometimes she seemed afraid of me. Mariah explained what situations would likely cause Katie to be worried or fearful and gave me tools to be able to anticipate issues and help Katie become more confident. People who knew Katie before our sessions with Mariah, say she's like a different dog! We now enjoy our walks! I'm still watchful, but am now armed with an arsenal of tools to anticipate, avoid, distract, or redirect any potential scary situations. With Mariah's coaching, I've been able to help Katie get used to different environments so the world feels a lot safer to her now. I cannot praise Mariah enough! She is professional, fun, suggests the problem solving tactic that best suits the situation, and is quick to suggest an alternative if I don't feel like something will work for us. Katie gets happy excited when I say Mariah is coming! I highly recommend her!

Today is a day of closure for myself and my Bernedoodle, Wylie. It is our last day of training with Mariah. It had been a number of years since we had brought a new puppy into our home. I bought and read a few training books and thought that I had this. I did not. I quickly realized that i needed a professional trainer. Mariah is very knowledgeable of dogs and their behaviors. She helped train basic skills and trouble behaviors as they popped up. Our pup is 8 months old now and has learnt so much. I have continued training in between sessions(not as often as i probably should have) but our dog has continued to learn obedience which makes having a puppy WAY more fun! I highly recommend Mariah for training your puppy or dog. She even comes to you to make it even easier!! Your experience with her will be positive for you and your dog!!
