Hi My 77 year old mother purchased a 4 month old High Energy (zoomies) GoldenDoodle "Lacey". I was certain we would not be able to keep her, as my mother struggled to manage her. Jen at Lucky Star Dog Training solved our problems. Jen is a top notch dog trainer who taught Lacey to be a wonderful companion for my mother. Lacey is totally obedient, minds very well and my mother walks her around the neighborhood. All the neighbors know Lacey!!! Boarding is great!! Our dog loves going back to see Jen and the team. We can’t say enough great things about Lucky Star Dog Training and the incredible work Jennifer and her husband Aaron did with our husky mix, Lulu. Before training, Lulu was extremely stubborn and clearly in need of guidance—she had a strong will and selective listening that made daily routines a real challenge. But Jennifer and Aaron knew exactly how to connect with her. From the very beginning, they were patient, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Jennifer led the training with such confidence and compassion, and Aaron was a fantastic support—his calm presence and consistent handling made a huge difference in helping Lulu stay focused and engaged. Together, they made a wonderful team and tailored their approach perfectly to Lulu’s needs. The transformation in our dog has been remarkable. Lulu is now more focused, responsive, and so much easier to manage. She’s still her spunky self, but with structure and a much better understanding of what’s expected. It’s clear that both Jennifer and Aaron genuinely care about the dogs they work with and are passionate about what they do. Their techniques and clear, consistent communication made all the difference—not just for Lulu, but for us as owners, too. Taking our dog to to Lucky Star was the best decision we possibly could have made, both for us and for him! He was a sweet boy who often times marched to the beat of his own drum when we dropped him off. When we picked him up, it was incredible to see how much he had grown and how willing he was to listen and learn. The communication over the course of his time at Lucky Star was great, Jennifer was always explaining what was going on, what the goals were, his progress, etc. With the go-home lesson at the end of his stay, I feel set up for success to continue his training at home and help our pup continue to grow into a confident and happy dog! Cannot recommend Lucky Star enough!
