Loyalty and Legacy

Wow, I have so much to say about Jade and her incredible training and behavior explanations. I found Jade through google when desperate for help with my partners and my two dogs. We had adopted a puppy in July, and then helped a friend out by taking his dog in October and we were so out of our depths. The night before I found Jade, I was sitting on my floor crying. Just so utterly overwhelmed with what to do, how to help them, nothing was working and I felt like such a failure for these dogs and cats. Penney, our puppy, was so over excited, she never slept outside of her crate, was chasing our cats, barking incessantly, separation anxiety was through the roof, and it was affecting the second dog, Helo. Helo came to us already trained really well, and was really good with cats. But with Penney, he started chasing the cats and then bit one in the side (cat was fine, just scared and pissed). Enter Jade. With her FIRST visit, the evaluation, we already had some insights for Penney that we applied immediately. Within the first training session we had a level of peace in our house we hadn’t had since before the dogs arrived. We have been able to help Penney, and understand Helo better. Jade showed us how Penney was in a constant state of anxiety, and was making Helo’s worse. She showed us how Penney was being super overbearing in her play with Helo and how she was using her disability to play us. She explained how Helo’s behavior when he was sick of Penney’s play was rude. She has enabled us to have tools and options for settling and helping the anxiety behaviors in both dogs! We have focused mostly on behavior help, and also on basic obedience (Penney) and it’s so night and day. Jade is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable with dogs and their behavior. She is amazing with positive reinforcement with consequences if/when they are needed. The consequences being things like “if you lunge at the cats, you get told NO and are put outside which you hate” And boy howdy it works amazingly. I cannot recommend her highly enough, you and your babies will learn SO much from her if you just apply her instructions. I’ve included some photos of Penney and Helo (penney is white, helo the brown) and just look at her SLEEPING next to us. Before Jade, I had never experienced Penney lying down and snoozing. Never experienced her cuddling against me. I cried the first time she slept outside her crate after Jade had given us the tools to help with her doggy adhd and anxiety. It is beautiful.

We love Jade! Our 4 year old pitbull rescue started to show increasing signs of anxiety around strangers and other dogs and had become reactive. We continue to work with Jade on these things but the improvement in the first 5 sessions has been amazing. The most important thing for me is that Jade is patient with us humans too. We are learning with Meeko and she is helping every step of the way. Training has been a fun bonding experience and has strengthened my confidence and Meeko’s.

Jade was wonderful with my 5 year old German shepherd. She had been deemed “aggressive” by our vet but Jade took the time to evaluate and get to know the dog. Knew when to push her and when to hold her back. Our puppy became less anxious and has learned to control her emotions. Looking forward to continue working with Jade for additional training. We would have never gotten her into a dog park before training
