Learn and Live Dog Training

Lydia is incredible!! We recently sent our 8 month old Golden Cavalier to training with Lydia and he learned so many amazing things. Rivers biggest issue was impulse control which made it difficult to take him out places with us. We now have the communication skills and freedom to comfortably take him everywhere with us! He is loving all of our off leash hikes and walks! Throughout the 3 week board a train we received daily video updates which allowed us to stay up to speed with everything he was learning and prepared us for him coming home. Lydia is not only amazing with dogs but is great at teaching the humans how to maintain everything. We recently saw Lydia after training and River sprinted to her and was so excited to see her which is a great testament to the bond and love Lydia has for all her dogs! We look forward to bringing River back to board with her :) We cannot recommend her enough if you are looking for a personalized and outstanding dog training experience!

Choosing to put my dog through Learn and Live dog training with Meagan was one of the best choices I ever made! I was really struggling with my rescued, high energy boy, Holt and was having to deal with major behavioral issues that I was not equipped to handle! Luckily I met Meagan and our whole lives changed! I was able to put my boy through a 4 week Board and Train, where Meagan had personal knowledge and experience of the unique breed my boy is, as well as consistently sent photos and updates on how he was doing, and provided me with so much helpful information, not only at the end of the program, but even during his stay! After having Holt trained over a year ago, I’m still able to reach out with any questions, in-home boarding when out of town, as well as schedule additional training sessions if in need of more help down the road! Having my very special boy, Holt trained by Meagan had given us the opportunity to take trips with Holt and even enjoy a night in, since he now knows how to settle and relax on his own! Meagan was great for our Shiba Inu! After four weeks of fully boarded training, Kira came back less aggressive and with much better loose leash walking etiquette. Kira used to bark for hours when we would have visitors, but now she calms down within minutes, and she chooses to go to her safe place rather than biting right away. She also auto-sits when we stop walking. We are continuing to build and maintain her confidence, and Meagan’s training was crucial to spearhead her journey forward.

I booked my training with Lydia based on two of my friends having used her expertise. I am so glad I did! I booked the 3-week board and train and the turnaround with Steve was exceptional. She took the time to record her sessions and explained what was happening all the way. Her patience is incredible. Steve loved his time with Lydia and when he sees her, he is so excited which is a testimony to how she treated him. One thing I didn’t fully appreciate, but do now, is the training we humans get. I am now very confident in working with Steve and excited about the future which before I was completely lost with. There is no way I could have done this without Lydia. A million thank you’s to Lydia isn’t enough!
