Where do I even start? If you aren’t going to read this whole review let me just say this: 10/10 experience. Lydia is an absolute dream to work with and our pup Sophie made impressive progress in the 3 weeks she spent in Lydia’s care. From the thorough on-boarding process to the daily updates and videos, and level of detail she put into post training videos and recommendations. All of it, incredible! If you’re looking for a caring, safe, and trustworthy professional you’ve totally found that and more! All that to say, Lydia and team are 10000% worth it. Thank you, Lydia!

5 stars is not enough for Learn and Live Dog Training! In just three weeks, Lydia turned our lovable chaos machine Murph (golden retriever extraordinaire) into a well mannered gentleman with just enough goofball left to keep the kids happy. She didn’t just train him - she trained us! We now understand how Murph thinks, what sets him off, and how to help him navigate life like the brave, big hearted fluffy puppy he is. Lydia introduced him to all kinds of new experiences, taught him to respond to his call words, and helped him stay calm in situations that used to send him into a tailspin. And through it all, she sent us the BEST updates: videos, photos, and golden nuggets of wisdom that made us laugh, learn, and feel totally part of his journey. Her training day with us when Murph came home was an awesome course in seeing what he learned and applying it. We still have another session or two to go. Lydia is that magical blend of sweet and firm, fun and focused, and dogs clearly adore her. If you’re looking for someone to help train your dog and help them grow without losing their spirit, Learn and Live Dog Training is it.

Lydia is simply amazing to work with!! You can sense her love for dogs the moment you meet her, and then continue to witness it throughout her training sessions and interactions with dogs, pre, during, and post-training. Her demeanor while training is very calm but friendly and assertive, which is exactly what our sensitive yet hyper, co-dependent Springerdoodle needed. Lydia clearly has a deep knowledge of the psychology of dog behavior, and with that helped us to better understand how to communicate with our dog and how to ultimately help her stay in a calm, relaxed state. Our dog is no longer a picky eater, sleeps soundly and quietly in her crate every night, and has the ability to downshift her emotions and reactions in a stressful environment/situation to stay calm and follow our direction, all things she couldn’t do before Lydia. She has decreased the amount of stress in our lives by teaching us how to communicate clearly and effectively with our dog and ultimately have a quieter, more peaceful home. We are beyond grateful for Lydia and the impact she’s had on our dog and our lives!!

Learn and Live Dog Training is an amazing program. We enrolled our dog Sprinkles (pomsky), and I was amazed by her progress. In a matter of weeks, she could hold down and place and heel while walking. She was no longer jumping on strangers or knocking our little kids down. Lydia and her team are warm, friendly, professional, communicate well and provide great training for us to keep up the good habits. I highly recommend!
