Lake Erie K9

I have recently completed the K9 Bootcamp at Lake Erie K9 with my Doberman Mythos. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, professionalism, and knowledge of Mike the owner/operator of the business. Mike has years of experience in working dogs and has a very calm and structured way of allowing you to build a great partnership with your K9. I would highly recommend his classes to gain valuable knowledge and get the help you need to achieve whatever goals you may have with you dog and have fun while doing it! I will be coming back for more classes in the near future.

If you told me this morning that our aggressive, tunnel-visioned dog would be calmly sitting within a foot of her sister without a brawl, I would’ve laughed… nervously… from a safe distance. But here we are, jaws intact, hearts full, and minds blown. Mike is a dog wizard. Seriously. In just one hour, he took what felt like a hopeless case and gave us real results—and even better, real understanding. He explained dog psychology in a way that made so much sense (and made us realize maybe the dogs aren’t the only ones needing training). He was smart, kind, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. We rebooked him before he could even make it out the front door. This man was a complete stranger two hours ago, and now I’d trust him with my dog… and probably my WiFi password. Not sponsored. Just that impressed. Mike, you’re amazing!

My dog and I have completed several courses with Lake Erie K9. I initially chose their program because they were recommended by the ANNA shelter and offer a discount to adopters. My pup is very playful and his biggest challenge is controlling himself with the distraction of potential playmates and friends in the room. Classes at Lake Erie K9 have been the best place for him to learn and practice the behaviors I need him to do consistently so that I can take him places and spend time in public with him. In class, he is learning to lay down and ignore other dogs a few feet away and listen to me...much better than trying to do it for the first time at a restaurant where people are paying to enjoy a nice meal! We have enjoyed meeting the instructor, other dogs, and owners in the classes. It has been a great experience. I'm glad I stuck with it and saw that my dog could improve so much.
