I highly recommend Koena K9 to anybody that will listen! My dog Copper had severe separation anxiety, would bark/pull constantly on walks, and overall was forming bad behavior habits. I was not able to leave him alone without crating him and even when I would he would drag the crate across the floor and find ways to be destructive. Making the choice for your dog to be boarded and trained can be difficult, but Christa made me feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process. After a 5 week B&T with Christa I have a brand new dog. Copper and I now (both) ENJOY long walks because he is no longer dragging me down the sidewalk. He is more confident and calm. He is able to ignore other dogs, squirrels, and rabbits with small corrections. I am able to crate him and not worry he is destroying my house. And the biggie- I no longer have to medicate him when I need to leave for longer periods of time. I am even able to take him to coffee shops and more highly trafficked hiking spots because he is behaved! He is my same goofy, smart, high energy boy-- just more confident in himself and a whole lot more in control of his impulsiveness. It is truly so worth it to work with Christa!

We did a 4 week board and train for our Portuguese Water Dog and he is totally transformed into an amazing member of the family. Before he was uncontrollable and destructive. The positive only trainers we worked with prior did not help very much. The combination of Christa’s training and the e-collar have given us the family dog we always wanted. He can live a much happier life joining us on more adventures now instead of having to stay home. People comment on how well behaved he is nearly every time we are out with him. This training is worth every penny and Christa remains supportive and helpful.

Very grateful that i found Christa... when I dropped Toula off for B&T, she was difficult to walk on a leash... would bark at people and other dogs.... and she was no longer welcome at the groomer... Toula was quite the unruly rescue dog! But, as a result of Christa's training class, I now have a pup that understands her commands... is a pleasure to walk.... and that is becoming more confident when meeting new people.... I, too, have become a more confident pet owner.... Christa is a gem.... It was a pleasure to work with her.... She's a professional who wants to see all of her clients succeed... both dog and human…

Koena 9 is the best board and train I have ever experienced. We sent our puppy Frankie for the program and she came back beyond our expectations. Christa does an amazing job training the dogs and meeting each one where they are at. Frankie was socialized with other dogs, exposed to public places and came back just a perfect lady! When we have guests over I don’t have to worry about her jumping or acting crazy. She stays in the bed and down command until we release her and most importantly, has been fully crate and potty trained. Christa is a special person who is a true expert at her craft! Highly highly recommend!!

I can’t recommend Koena K9 enough! I did the 4 week board and train for my 1.5 yr old dog Roscoe. He had issues with destructive behavior, dog reactivity, and anxiety that limited him from many interactions with other dogs and humans. He still has his excited dorky personality, but he now knows boundaries and has the confidence needed to fully enjoy life. As with any training you have to be consistent with upkeep at home, but Christa was always there if I needed tips. And most importantly I now feel the confidence to work through any new unwanted behaviors that may arise. I’m thrilled to get to bring Roscoe on adventures I could have never imagined I would be able to take him on before. I’m so happy I decided to work with Christa, and I only wish I would have done it sooner.
