I highly recommend Christa! I had a standard poodle that was very reactive on leash with other dogs and squirrels, so walks were never enjoyable and most of the time embarrassing and a hassle. After private training lessons with Christa, there is nothing that I look forward to more each day than taking my pup on a walk. We even have had the opportunity for a few off leash activities. I couldn’t thank Christa more for the freedom and the opportunity for adventures that she has now given me and my pup.

You will not find anyone better than Christa to help with your dog. Our Bernese Mountain Dog, Finn, was biting, jumping, chewing baseboards — completely tearing our house (and sanity) apart. We tried multiple other trainers with no success and were starting to feel hopeless. Then we found Christa. She took Finn for a 4-week board and train and completely changed our lives. She identified the exact areas he needed help with and gave him the structure, confidence, and guidance we couldn’t provide on our own. Finn is now a whole new dog — calm, focused, and best friends with our one-year-old son. We can finally enjoy off-leash walks, remove the baby gates, and live in a peaceful home. Finn isn’t just more obedient — he’s genuinely happier. Christa didn’t just train our dog, she gave us our life back. If you're looking for help, stop searching. Christa is the one.

We completed a 4 week board and train with Christa and felt it was worth every penny. Our 1.5 year old cavapoo is now able to come so many more places with us, spend time safely off leash, and has way more freedom in the house because he is no longer destructive and getting into trouble. He is generally more calm and confident interacting with other dogs and humans. Christa did a great job instructing the humans how to maintain the training. It is evident that Christa is very passionate about what she does and absolutely loves all the dogs she trains! We would highly recommend her!

When we brought Bentley to Koena K9 we were frustrated with his behavior and our inability to control it. Over the 4 weeks he was a board and train with Koena K9 he made progress that was unimaginable to us when we dropped him off. He has learned how to become a gentleman. He is crate trained, totally bathroom trained and just an entirely different dog. He would chase his cat siblings, now he is calmer around them and they are starting to get used to being around him. He does bed stay now and he is very good at it. The socialization he experienced while there made a huge difference and having him back home after those 4 weeks was a huge difference and now we have the knowledge and head start on how to continue to fine tune his training. We are grateful for Keona K9 for her dedication to helping our Bentley and for giving us the tools we needed to continue his training at home. Everything was easy to access, was informative, and Christa was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this board and train service and I was incredibly happy and thankful with the results.
