How do you train a puppy not to bite and chew on people and clothing? I have told him no and given him a toy to chew on, but he is not picking up on either.
Your puppy has no idea what the word no means and giving him a toy to chew is the worst thing to do. A toy to the puppy is a reward just like a treat. So you're intentionally rewarding him on his behavior and will continue to do so. I suggest take some puppy classes at Kathy Santos. I have a 10 month old puppy that I have been taking there since he was 2 months old, alot of his bad habits (one of his habits was nipping at people) we have successfully stop but a few we are still working on. Kathy Santos dog training has helped alot.

KSDT is located in Ramsey, NJ but there is an online forum where you can ask questions, grt training tips and more. You can also sign up for online training program and there is someone always available to answer your specific questions and needs.

Im sure the job has its perks and is rewarding, but I can also see how exhausting it can be since you have to be "on and alert" all the time. I hear you guys on the mics all the time when you enter with a dog, how careful you guys are in the lot, how well you know the dogs and who can handle some dogs that aren't quite there yet (like my boy Max). You guys are so cautious, on time, patient and kind.. I really am SO happy I called when I had no idea what to do with Max.. We LOVE Kris and all he has done and is doing for Max, but as a team, you guys truly are amazing. Thank you for everything. We appreciate it more than you will ever know.

We couldn’t be more impressed with the knowledge, professionalism, and kindness that the entire Kathy Santo staff portrays. They really treat your dog like they are part of their family. The GM and assistant GM are remarkable. They run a tight ship! I would recommend Kathy Santo to anyone looking for training. You can be assured they will take good care of your loved ones.
