FirstBarkMy wife and I just joined our neighbors to witness the training of their beloved pups ( Nicky and Mia) . What a true experience and privilege to be there. Kathy and Staff are truly incredible. Talk about Love, Caring, Patience for all the animals, never seen anything like it. We had to put our dog down two years ago....if we ever do adopt again....this is the place for all your needs!!❤️

How do you train a puppy not to bite and chew on people and clothing? I have told him no and given him a toy to chew on, but he is not picking up on either.
Your puppy has no idea what the word no means and giving him a toy to chew is the worst thing to do. A toy to the puppy is a reward just like a treat. So you're intentionally rewarding him on his behavior and will continue to do so. I suggest take some puppy classes at Kathy Santos. I have a 10 month old puppy that I have been taking there since he was 2 months old, alot of his bad habits (one of his habits was nipping at people) we have successfully stop but a few we are still working on. Kathy Santos dog training has helped alot.

KSDT is located in Ramsey, NJ but there is an online forum where you can ask questions, grt training tips and more. You can also sign up for online training program and there is someone always available to answer your specific questions and needs.

I just wanted to share what an absolutely amazing experience I have had at Kathy Santos and specifically with Stacey but also all the staff! When I brought my 2 year old rescue dog Chewy - not only could no one come over to my house because of his aggression but I was fearful we would not be able to keep him because I have younger children. They were amazing with working with Chewy and also me to learn what I needed to do at home to have a dog that others wanted to be around! Stacey responds to all my texts and provided me with directions to help with whatever was going on! All of the staff has been so great with him and he loves going to playcare and Fast Track. The classes are extremely instructional and helpful and give me things to practice at home with him. Their resources online for at training at home is also great! They have provided me with the tools for chewy to succeed as long as I am willing to put in the follow up work at home. Here we a year later and not only can people come over and be in my house but now I can even have foster dogs here! This would not ever have been a possibility without the trainers at this facility!!! Will forever be grateful!!!!!

All the trainers and staff are very approachable and listen to your concerns and are eager to offer suggestions and tips. I trust them completely. My Dobe is my baby so it’s very important to know he’s in good and caring hands when I’m away. Besides the daycare & boarding they offer a multitude of classes and workshops as well as grooming. Kathy Santo is the complete package if you want a well-behaved, happy & friendly furry dog!
