Dan and his employees are extremely knowledgeable and professional. My German Shepherd was brought in for two weeks of training, and I saw a change after the first day of training. The training far exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier with the result! Slate, my GSD, now knows several different commands, such as holding place, the ability to hold a sit and down position for an extended period of time and for me to walk away from him while in those positions. Dan also worked on “recall” and several other important commands that have have greatly improved the behavior of Slate, and helped us build a better and stronger relationship. Slate also is no longer reactive to other dogs or people. I highly suggest Pawsitive Reinforcement to anyone who’s looking to improve their dogs behavioral skills and overall attitude. Dan and his employees dedicate all of their skills and energy into their job, and it is very evident. I will definitely be bringing Slate back to further his training and skills in the future.

Prior to working with Dan, Marley (1 year old pitbull) was really cute but reactive to dogs and people, hard to walk on leash, and anxious when anyone would approach us. Marley's behavior made it difficult to take him for walks outside and forget about a park or a hike. We thought Marley would be a dog who spent most of his time inside because of how challenging his behaviors were. We had worked with two trainers from two different companies who had a lot of fear and reservation about working with our dog, especially because of his breed. So much so, that we were denied sending him to a board and train program with a well-known training company. We were asked to muzzle him when taking him out in public and essentially isolate him from people and other dogs. Before we dropped Marley off with Dan we were excited, nervous, but hopeful due to the patience and confidence that Dan showed us even after Marley lunged at him. Working with Dan allowed us to be a part of Marley's transformation. Dan emphasized the importance of training Marley and training us to be more confident owners to make Marley's life more enjoyable. We experienced new found joy in seeing Marley be the good boy we knew he could be. We can now utilize the skills that Dan taught all of us to ensure his safety and the safety of others. I had such a wonderful experience with Pawsitive Reinforcement Training! Dan was extremely thorough in working through my dog's behavior issues with me through application in situations that would trigger my dog, as well as explaining why the solution works. I have a much better understanding of how to communicate with my dog. Not only has he worked through numerous negative behaviors, but he's become a much calmer and more confident dog.
