The best money we have spent on our Olde English Bulldog (English bulldog, Mastiff, Pitbull, American bulldog mix). Our OEB was extremely reactive to other dogs, people walking into the house, the door bell, any service at the house (landscaping, cleaning, repairs), incredibly anxious, and overall just a lot of crazy energy. Violet spent 3 weeks with Dan and came back a different dog. This has truly been a life changing experience for us : We have been able to have guests over, contractor in the house, grocery delivery, landscapers with no reactions, or very little corrections needed. We will definitely be returning for a Doggie BnB! I would highly recommend Dan for anyone looking to work on reactivity issues with their dog!

I came to Pawsitive Reinforcement Training with one goal: to be able to walk my dog comfortably regardless of my external environment. My dog is a 3 y/o Treeing Walker Coonhound who is very reactive to other animals and loud noises. Up until her training, I couldn’t walk her past another dog without her pulling me with all her strength and barking. Did I mention I live next to a park? I can say I definitely gained some arm muscle and back knots after the years of poor leash work. Thankfully, my experience with PRT not only fulfilled my expectations, but exceeded them! In the beginning, we worked together to identify my dog’s issues and the root causes. From our Zoom intro meeting, I already felt like I had learned so much about why my dog was behaving the way she was and how I could help prevent her negative behaviors with small shifts in our daily life. Our sessions helped me gain more confidence and now I feel 100% comfortable walking my dog anywhere. I have the tools, knowledge, and experience to ensure my dog and I enjoy our walks together. From those four sessions with Dan, I now have a lifetime of fun, non-stressful walks with my dog. So grateful!

Dan is a very talented trainer and a lovely person to work with. He helped my husband and me with our new puppy, Maisy. We needed a refresher on the basics of puppy training. Dan wowed us with his knowledge and his ability to command the attention of a three month old pup. It was pretty amazing to watch! He customized our visits to include the issues we wanted to address with Maisy and she is really coming along with her progress. It is obvious that Dan really loves dogs and loves being a trainer. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for help with their dogs.
