K9 Kompanion Training

Although I have had German shepherds for 40 years, we got a very high drive working line puppy that was very mouthy and difficult. She was not reactive, but it was very stressful having her beat up on our senior dog. I had heard about K9Kompanion for years, And we decided to send her there for board and train ,Even though she was quite a young pup. Tiffany and Kat Did a wonderful job with her and she was a very different dog when She came back to us. We followed their program and it worked. I trust them completely and we continue to have her go there when we are away. They were also very helpful when I had a hip replacement And sent her there for a few weeks because I couldn’t risk getting knocked over. And when we were delayed getting home from a trip because of weather, they were very accommodating to keep her until we were back. Tiffany and Kat have been taking care of my Goldens since my eldest had just turned one. (I now have three.) The other two were trained as pups. It's more than just the training; K9 runs a wonderful boarding service. I call it sleepaway camp for dogs. My boys love going there. It's so much different than a kennel. Each day has a morning and an afternoon activity; often one of them is an excursion into the woods. They also have a large property, so there's lots to do even if they can't roam far that day. Each evening I receive about a dozen and 1/2 pics of the boys doing their activities; I don't know how they manage to do it for every one in the pack. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than a traditional kennel, but not a lot more. And, typically, traditional kennels charge extra for 10 minute walks (and everything else), whereas K9 provides 1/2 day "walks", so the all-in price probably isn't that far apart. I can't imagine having my boys stay anywhere else.

We decided to get a Bernie doodle puppy last May. In August, we sent her to K9 companion for a couple of weeks of training. She came back to us way easier to walk on the leash and able to hike in woods off leash. We were taught the right commands and how to use the e-collar in our own home on her return. We now use K9 for doggie day care 2-3x/week and Rita loves it! She comes home tired and is excited to go in the mornings. We receive pictures every night of her hiking and playing with her friends. Tiffany and Kat are always available for questions or advice regarding Rita's behavior via text. It is nice to have professionals available to consult. Rita is our third puppy and by far "the best dog ever" according to our son. We are very happy we chose K9 for training and day care and would recommend them to any dog owners.
