Thank you for taking the time to write a review Crystal! I applaud you for immediately getting training for Odin after adopting him when your neighbor couldn’t keep him. A lot of people get a puppy or adopt a dog without understanding that they all need training, and it’s well worth the investment and commitment. Doing so mitigates potential behavioral problems and also allows you to have a dog you can take anywhere. Odin is a huge dog! I’m sure it is nice to walk him now and not feel like he’s taking you water skiing on dry land. He’s going to be a great family dog with your kids. A gentle giant who has excellent skills now.

I commend you for not just the investment in getting good training for all three of your dogs but the understanding that all dogs need training: young, old, and even couch potatoes. I also commend you in your commitment to becoming better handlers, which is just as important as getting your dogs trained! How to speak the language of dogs is in the art of dog training and maintaining the training. As I’m finishing your third dog, I’m very happy to hear that the girls who had the biggest problem in terms of stressful, knockdown, drag-out fights have stabilized, and the videos of them getting along in sisterhood make me smile. When Thor is finished and we reacclimate him back into the trio, you’re going to love how harmonious it can be when you have three dogs under obedience control with the handler skills I’ve taught you. They’ll be living their best life.

Thank you for the review Landry! It was my pleasure training your dogs. Indy is a highly motivated dog who loves to perform in work. Her training will make her a well-rounded dog as she gets more mature with her skills. Another dog that, if I had more time, I could get competition obedience out of. She’s still got that young dog swagger that I’m sure Penny rolls her eyes at. But with this great foundation, she’ll only get better and better. Penny is the type of dog that’s interesting to a dog trainer like me in the challenge, one of those dogs with behavior that presents outside the norm. At first, she was a tough “Safe to crack” in terms of getting her to come out of her shell. However, it’s hugely rewarding when you build a relationship and earn the trust of a dog like her, and she did great. There’s a good plan going forward to prevent any more nasty scuffles between the two gals, and it’s all about management. You know what to do to prevent the antecedents and what to do if they do get into it. You know you’ve got me anytime you need me as well. They’re going to have an awesome life with you folks!

A big ol’ boy with such a great personality, stable demeanor, and above-average intelligence. He got so good in training that I could easily get competition obedience out of a dog like Floki, and he loves to perform! You’re going to love taking him for walks now and not being pulled around like you’re attached to a Mac Truck. Floki also has all the right ingredients for a great family dog. I’m very proud of him. I’ll always be there to help if you ever need me for the life of Floki. You all are going to have an awesome life together.

More importantly, your words have meaning now when you communicate with her. Mazee is a sweet dog that likes to occasionally get wild and sometimes push boundaries, testing if she’ll be held to account. It’s perfectly fine to let a dog be a dog sometimes, but there’s a time for play, a time for work, and a time to chill. Your engagement in the process has been great, and I know that you will maintain her training, being consistent with the criteria. Part of my job is to make you a good handler, and I’ll always be there to help. She’s got excellent skills now, and you two are going to do great!
