K9 Control Training

Now this is a "tail" all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down. I'd like to take a minute so "sit" right there.. I'll tell you all about how I became the dog mom of two unruly princesses of James Island. My girls are 2 and 4 respectively, with very very different personalities. We were good.. cruising along.. our little pack of three. Until we weren't. Tensions and sexual maturity in the younger began to emerge. For over a year and a half, I tried to manage them on my own. But the relationship between the girls and eventually between me and my youngest began to devolve. Daily fights began to break out. Walks together became impossible. Aggression towards me began to take form. I felt lost, hopeless, defeated, scared, sad, mad, hurt, angry.. you name it. I was afraid there was no future my girl tribe and decisions would have to be made for the safety of me and my eldest. Then one day, I was driving to yoga, and I saw K9 Control Training. I made an appointment for an evaluation. During the evaluation, I could see my baby completely immersed in Joe's presence and guidance. The other baby was losing her mind with anxiety. I knew then that they both NEEDED this program. I NEEDED this program. We signed up for the four week board and train. Ginger (4) was with Ali and Gertie (2) was with Hannah. I received weekly updates on their progress. I could see them change in real time. I could see they were HAPPY! I could see their relationship improving. K9 Control is more than a training facility for me. It was a lifesaver, a relationship saver, and the key to hopefully a peaceful 10+ years with my girl tribe. I cannot recommend them enough. We are members of a bigger tribe now and I am eternally grateful. If you are on the fence, remember this... Your peace and sanity are WORTH it! Your dog's peace and sanity are WORTH it. We invest in ourselves all day, everyday in some way. Invest in your dog's mental health too. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

They've given us the ability to communicate with and understand our puppy and saved our relationship with our first dog. Best decision we ever made. Our golden retriever mix is a huge ball of energy and was getting impossible to handle in an apartment setting, we decided to make the investment because they had such great recommendations. Our pup stayed a full month and came home equipped with everything he needed for success. We continue to train at home daily so he doesn't lose the skills he learned with his favorite trainer Allie. He's not perfect (he's just a high energy dog all around and still a puppy) but we have seen a huge improvement and we can't get over how amazing they are as a support system.

Thank you, K9 Control! Max is doing so well. Max, our adopted Cane Corso, Mastiff mix, was struggling with anxiety and becoming more reactive. I took him to Owen for an evaluation, and he explained that Max needed more of a behavioral approach to address his needs. Owen and Hannah worked with Max and kept me in the loop the entire time. They went above and beyond with communication. They were professional and patient with their approach with both Max and me. Owen even took Max to his personal home to make sure he was ready to come home to us. His daughter, Zorah, was also key in Max's rehabitation and I'm so grateful for her time with Max. I interviewed 3 training facilities before choosing K9 Control and I know I made the best choice for training. They not only trained my dog but they trained me.
