K9 Citizens Club

I had just purchased a new Cardigan Corgi pup that was skittish, scared, leery of nearly everything. I knew I wanted to develop a good rapport between myself and her (I needed training just as much as she did). As I researched Google for potential dog trainers I kept being called back to K9 Citizens Club. I took the path provided for me with Marcus Taylor at K9 Citizens Club. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I was able to have a free one-on-one private consult with Marcus at my home so we could discuss my objectives and for him to assess Tipsy. Marcus has such a gentle approach with his training. His 20+ years of working with dogs gives him keen insight to dog behaviors and habits. My little gal Tipsy has progressed remarkably!! First scared of everything now she does her sit, stay, come, eagerly takes her crate and is progressing brilliantly to her other commands that Marcus has me working on. As Marcus says - it takes baby steps & patience! I highly recommend K9 Citizens Club!

Marcus has done what we thought was impossible with our Great Dane Malibu! Marcus has an amazing ability to make your training fit your goals. He teaches the commands and skills and then focuses in on how you give commands or hold the leash and then how your dog responds to both. He demonstrates and lets you try and then very politely corrects you (if needed). He gives the why in addition to the how, which helps to train the humans and justify the repetition to get to “duration and distance.” We loved how he integrated his chill dog Ninja into the training. Ninja taught Malibu how to interact with other dogs and how to handle distractions. He was a great example for Malibu and great addition to the training. Our trips to Landa Park and Lowe’s were extremely educational and helpful to applying what we had learned and doing what we thought would always be impossible with Malibu! We highly recommend Marcus!

Marcus was both patient and kind during our training sessions with my new puppy, Ellie. I’m so grateful for the knowledge and understanding he shared about the activities and time it takes to teach Ellie everything she needs to know. Having a dog with good manners in public is incredibly rewarding. We’ll continue practicing and learning, but after just eight sessions with Marcus, we’re already doing so much better!

Marcus is really in tune with the dogs he trains. They love seeing him arrive with his side kick Njnja. Marcus is relaxed and kind to the dogs that he is given the task of training. He helps us, the pet owners learn how to work with our pet to help them become the best they can be. Marcus is on time, and shows up with a great attitude. After having a negative experience with another dog trainer, Marcus really changed my perspective on how important hiring the right person for your pet is. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!
