Jezzie Paws Dog Training

I’ve been taking my 8 1/2 month old puppy to private classes at Jezzie Paws for about three months now. I’d tried training him using YouTube videos before turning to Jezzie Paws, and while we were able to make some progress, it was slow going and I felt like I wasn’t quite doing something right. After our first lesson with Jess, I realized that I needed feedback on my training techniques as much as my puppy needed direction. After showing me how to more effectively use hand signals, simple commands and use my body language to help my puppy focus, training started to fall into place. I like that she focuses on one main task each week and offers gentle corrections to both owner and pup to improve communication. We have clear and specific homework each week, and my puppy is so much more focused and well behaved after just a few months of weekly lessons. On top of that, he just loves lessons and gets visibly excited when we leave the car and start to walk to the door. He loves to play with Lance, Jess’s dog, who is often there during our private lessons. A side note: given Covid, safety is a priority for me and Jess is very respectful, always wearing a mask, keeping socially distant while training, accommodating private lessons at an extremely reasonable price, and has clear signage about expectations with regard to safety which has kept me coming back.

Today was our 3rd session with Jess and I am beyond happy. Jess is extremely knowledgeable and really understands our dogs needs. We have 1 yr old Mountain Cur/Shepard mix rescue who was suffering from high anxiety, we decided to take our girl to training. From day 1 Jess recognized Finley’s anxiety triggers and gave us suggestions on all natural products to help our girl. More importantly Jess has trained us as owners and showed up the tools and training we need to use to be successful dog owners. Jess stressed to us that everything we learn in training needs to be done outside of the studio every day. Needless to say the training is working and our girl is calmer then she has ever been. I highly recommend Jess!!!

Best dog training school we’ve found. After trying other places with her behavior regressing, we luckily found Jezzie Paws and our girl is learning so fast in such a warm, friendly, and positive environment we can hardly believe it. She seems to learn by example and the trainer’s dog Lance is so well behaved and well trained that the whole experience is a breeze! Highly, highly recommend! So grateful to find this place!
