Which training plan is more effective?
Both training plans are very effective; it all just depends on how involved in the training you would like to be. Private training you’re involved in the entire training process and day training we take care of most of the training process for you. Then at pick up we will show you what we have done.
We can start in home Private dog training at anytime. If you wanted to do any in facility training with your pup. They must be at least 4 months of age!
We are balanced trainers so we use all four quadrants of Operant Conditioning (positive reinforcement, positive punishment, negative reinforcement, and negative punishment.) and Classical Conditioning (a process that involves creating an association between a naturally existing stimulus and a previously neutral one). We start with the least invasive methods and only go more invasive as needed and with owner approval.

We are so happy with K9 Academy, We rescued an almost 2 year old German Shepherd with no training at all... We met with Robert and told him about our concerns with this new dog. Our dog was and still is very bullheaded and stubborn, very set in his ways! Robert has been working with our GS, for a few months on and off now and we are seeing good results. Our Family is so grateful to Robert and K9 Academy. Our Frenchie Ace was a mean little guy . So stubborn, but now he listens and is showing so much improvement in his behavior. We appreciate the help and attention Robert gave Ace.

Allison was great to work with! I love how she would go in depth with me about the lessons she taught my dog. He made great improvements with his reactivity. I would recommend this place to any of my friends with reactive dogs, or any dogs who need a little help with basic obedience. Thank you guys so much!

We rescued a 2-year-old male German Shepherd with absolutely no training at all... We were lucky to find Robert at K9 Academy, he has been working on and off with us and our GS for a few months now, and we are so happy with the results. Our GS has learned most of his basic manners, and we're working on his socialization skills now. Our GS is very bullheaded and extremely stubborn... We still have a way to go, but we're getting there. Robert is also teaching us to be the best GS parents we can be. Thank you K9 Academy, and Robert.

BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR ME AND MY PUP! Robert was our trainer, and he was an incredible teacher and friend to us and our doggo. Our dog was always so excited to see Robert, so I know he was good to her. She learned so much! I am beyond proud and grateful for Idaho k9 academy! Also, they gave us a certificate that is going to permanently live on our fridge! ❤️🥹
