Which training plan is more effective?
Both training plans are very effective; it all just depends on how involved in the training you would like to be. Private training you’re involved in the entire training process and day training we take care of most of the training process for you. Then at pick up we will show you what we have done.

How old does my dog have to be to start training?
We can start in home Private dog training at anytime. If you wanted to do any in facility training with your pup. They must be at least 4 months of age!

What training methods do you use?
We are balanced trainers so we use all four quadrants of Operant Conditioning (positive reinforcement, positive punishment, negative reinforcement, and negative punishment.) and Classical Conditioning (a process that involves creating an association between a naturally existing stimulus and a previously neutral one). We start with the least invasive methods and only go more invasive as needed and with owner approval.

We were lucky enough to have Allison and Robert work with our dog, Ed. He has a new found confidence and loves to show off his new tricks and is also equipped with basic commands that make having a puppy a better experience. I would recommend Idaho K9 academy to anyone and everyone. Thank you for loving Ed. He will miss coming to school each week!
He did wonders with our lab puppy. She progressed so fast in only six weeks. Definitely recommend.
Robert did an excellent job with our GSD Bella. She was a tough case, but now is very obedient. The socialization and basic skill training has made her a wonderful companion. Thanks Robert !!
My Saint Bernard took the 6 week basic obedience class. She did fantastic. She is a totally different dog. I highly recommend them.
