I have had the pleasure of traveling from New Hampshire to collaborate with Harmony Dog Training and their staff to host a workshop for dogs who need proper fulfillment and to work on their reactivity. Luis’ facility was always clean, staff was very knowledgeable and kind and the dogs we helped during this workshop significantly benefitted both from learning how to work through frustration, play with their owners under distraction and calm their bodies while being in the same space as other dogs who were playing and excited. This was a great workshop and I would recommend Harmony Dog Training to anyone needing help with reactivity or just every day dog behavior and fulfillment.

Not recommended for behavior modification, especially for reactive dogs. I enrolled my Doberman in a 4-week board-and-train after 10 weeks of progress with another trainer. While the handlers (especially Sergio) were kind and the facility is clean, the program caused significant regression. Red flags appeared early—unprofessional comments about our original trainer, refusal to acknowledge prior progress, and no collaborative effort. Promised daily updates were minimal and only sent after I asked. One video showed my dog on hot pavement during extreme heat, with the trainer using passive-aggressive comments toward me as a handler. By week three, my dog had regressed severely—lunging, reacting at distances he previously tolerated, and stress peeing when voices are raised. The trainer dismissed concerns and declined in-person follow-up, offering instead webinars and expensive gear like $200 recording glasses. He even suggested sending our dog to Ohio for jiu-jitsu "enrichment" unrelated to his behavioral needs. Most disturbing was the trainer mentioning he was euthanizing two other Dobermans in his care. Ultimately, I lost four weeks of progress and spent another five weeks retraining my dog. The only positives were the caring handlers—but I do not recommend Harmony K9 for behavioral rehab.

I took my 140 pound Pyrenean Mastiff in for an evaluation tonight and I am absolutely amazed at the instant connection Luis had with him. I have been unable to walk him because he pulls so hard that I have ended up with broken ribs and fingers from being pulled to the ground. Brix is a really sweet boy but VERY stubborn and I have had 2 trainers tell me he is untrainable. Luis used distraction techniques and Brixton was like a different dog in 20 minutes. I teared up because I now have hope of going on enjoyable walks. Looking forward to more lessons with this amazing trainer.

Update: We went to Boston Common and DT Boston today with 0 issue!!!!! Before meeting with Luis, I was desperate and about to return my girl to her breeder. She was reactive to a point I couldn’t take her outside. She would bark so fiercely her teeth hurt her gum and tongue once and she was spiting blood. I have been through so many trainers, and so many have told me it’s genetic, you need to give her medication, you just have to live with it. I was at loss so I decided I would give balanced training a chance. I am so glad I did it. Luis is very knowledgeable and he knows what he is doing. The program is tailored for my girl and after 5 classes, we are able to walk in blackstone blvd, where I would never take my dog to because it’s filled with bicycles, motorcycles, runners and dogs. Right now my girl can go to Cape Cod, Waterfire, Home Depot, or just wherever with me. Luis truly change my life!
