Heather is the absolute best! I used her services two years ago shortly after adopting my rescue dog, Remy. She helped him adjust and learn what he needed to so that he can thrive. Training with Heather was the best decision I made. She is highly skilled as well as kind and patient. Here is an update that I just shared with her today- Remy is doing great! Hard to believe this August will be 2 years since adopting him. He has really settled in and made great progress! All thanks to you! I still follow what you taught me and it works. He thrives from structure & routine. He is more chill overall, better on the leash & loves his walks. Heather is an expert with years of experience in dog care and training, and she passes so much knowledge to her clients in every session. She knew just what was needed from the moment she met my high energy dog, and throughout our 10 weeks of loose leash and e-collar training, she equipped me with all the tools, resources, and support that I needed to get exactly where I wanted us to be. Weekly lessons kept me accountable, and the progress week-to-week was (most often) unbelievable. Heather from Handful of Leashes is an exceptional trainer! I have 2 rescue dogs who were highly anxious & terrible leash walkers. Both are MUCH more adjusted after implementing the training tools that Heather gave us and both walk extremely well on the leash now, without pulling! Heather gives you her full time & attention when you work with her. She makes herself available for questions & provides additional resources, going above and beyond the “big box” trainers out there. The only downside? You will miss her when the training is done!!
