Heather is truly a lifesaver and an absolute gem of a dog trainer! We reached out to her less than a week after rescuing our pup, Eggo, because we were struggling with crate training and leash walking. Living in an apartment made it essential for Eggo to be well-behaved on walks—but her excitement around other dogs and people meant that she was walking us, dragging us toward every passerby and making walks feel more stressful than enjoyable. From the very first session, Heather made a huge difference. Within minutes, we saw noticeable changes, and after just a few lessons, Eggo transformed into a completely different dog. Now, she walks calmly, responds to us, and actually enjoys long, relaxed walks—and so do we! It’s amazing to see her thriving, confident, and happy. Heather didn’t just train our dog—she changed our lives. Her approach is compassionate, effective, and tailored to each dog’s unique personality. Heather and "Handful of Leashes" helped our puppy Bailey become the best possible version of herself. Heather's "loose leash" and crate training techniques were extremely effective.
