We are a family owned business serving New Braunfels and the surrounding areas. We offer quality K9 training at an affordable price. Lessons are conducted in-home and/or at pet-friendly locations around town, depending on your goals and where your dog is at in the training process. We work with all breeds and training can begin as early as 12 weeks old. Training techniques include both operant and classical conditioning techniques, putting the emphasis on teaching and rewarding, not punishment. After using the tricks he taught us in our lessons, our dogs are much easier to walk and much more well behaved. He even managed to get our dog to get in and out of our truck which was one of the biggest hurdles we had. My husband and I would highly recommend David and his training sessions!

A goal of mine since I got Scooby, my American Silver Lab, was to go into therapy work. Before I could do that we had to get through issues such as barking, welcoming people/ other dogs and listening. Since going through your 3 step program I have seen a vast improvement in both me and Scooby. We were able to pass our Canine Good Test and we are planning to attain my goal of going into therapy by the first of the new year. Not only will David work with you and your dog, but he gives tips and guidance on easy ways to work with your dog between sessions. I noticed a huge improvement in my dog from the first session and his responsiveness, as well as my own comfortability with these skills. The frequency of the group classes and David’s flexibility with the individual sessions is extremely helpful. If you’re seeking training for your pups, I could not recommend Guter Hund more!
