About Guter Hund K9 Training
We are a family owned business serving New Braunfels and the surrounding areas. We offer quality K9 training at an affordable price. Lessons are conducted in-home and/or at pet-friendly locations around town, depending on your goals and where your dog is at in the training process. We work with all breeds and training can begin as early as 12 weeks old. Training techniques include both operant and classical conditioning techniques, putting the emphasis on teaching and rewarding, not punishment. These classes are great! Seriously seen improvements in my dog’s behavior within a month! Takes a lot of working on your own with your pet but it’s worth it. Learned a lot and plan on going to group classes when I can. Rhenna my dog use to lash out around other dogs and had leash aggression. With the group classes she is able to be around dogs and behave! I’m not scared to walk her at the parks anymore!
David was able to teach my dog more in one lesson than I've been able to teach him in 6 months. If you need help with your dog David is the guy to go to
David was amazing with my 14-month old Teddy Roosevelt, Belle. We both needed training on how to help her behave with guests in our home. In just three sessions and homework, Belle now is relaxed when we have guests, making us both happy.
David has been a great trainer for my red heeler, Alice. He gave her a solid start with basic commands and was always open to answering questions. Three years later, we still pop in occasionally for a group class to brush up on skills. I would totally recommend David Wagner and Guterhund to anyone looking for a good dog trainer.
