FirstBarkDavid is incredibly impressive with dogs and instructing their humans on how to be better leaders! We learned so much from him and have seen great progress with our eight month old pitbull. The group training classes are also such an incredible perk that keeps pushing our training in the right direction. NB is lucky to have Guter Hund!

About Guter Hund K9 Training
We are a family owned business serving New Braunfels and the surrounding areas. We offer quality K9 training at an affordable price. Lessons are conducted in-home and/or at pet-friendly locations around town, depending on your goals and where your dog is at in the training process. We work with all breeds and training can begin as early as 12 weeks old. Training techniques include both operant and classical conditioning techniques, putting the emphasis on teaching and rewarding, not punishment. He is a happier dog knowing his boundaries and having jobs to do, and we’re happier that we aren’t having to correct him so frequently. If we do exactly what we’ve learned and are consistent with it (this is key!!), Blackjack is able to play and run and be goofy at will, but he knows when it’s time to listen and follow his commands. We can’t recommend David highly enough!! If you’re looking for your dog to be a real member of the family, you’ve found your trainer.

As a parent of a spoiled, yappy Yorkie named Annie I thought a trip to Washington State from Texas by air was completely out of the question. I hired Guter Hund K9 Training two months ahead of time hoping that he could somehow make the four hour non-stop flight doable. We followed David's instructions and worked with Annie daily. She made the trip and was perfect walking on leash through the airport and behaved on the long flight as well. We had an additional issue at home with her barking and running through the house. A suggestion from David and that problem was solved. I highly recommend Guter Hund K9 Training.
