Good Dogz KC

We had a new Corgi that was very badly behaved, couldn't be house broke nor could we trust her around anyone due to her biting. At home she would guard our things and threaten anyone to go near them which was impossible. Andrew first started working with her on behavior and biting and then they took her to their home for a three week intensive training with only one day a week that she came home to see us. She learned to stay in her crate most of the time except when we had time to be with her on a lead. She learned rules and got the barking under control. Jahaira taught us her vibration collar that she wore from breakfast and first walk until the last walk of the night before bed. It was used to teach her that she had to follow the rules and remember what she could and could not do all day long to keep from receiving vibration or a shock. She has changed considerably and I am enjoying her now which was not possible before Jahaira and Andrew started working with us.

My dogs were a hot mess and so was I! Jaheira and Andrew were beyond amazing. We needed a trainer to come to the house to witness our behavior issues with two very large dogs. I learned so much. Jaheira and Andrew are strong empathetic people who knew exactly what my dogs needed. Dogs are truly like children and each of them are so different. I can now confidently walk my dogs without being yanked! Plus the excessive barking and responding better to commands. I plan to use them for our future needs. They were my therapy to help me connect on a deeper level with my dogs. I’m forever grateful.

Jahaira has been exactly what we needed to get my yellow lab puppy training on track. I have specific goals for him including off-leash work, and she listened and knew exactly what tools, specific to his breed, to use to help us out. She helped me discover my always-hungry lab is actually more play motivated than food motivated! I love that she comes to my house to work with me and my son together, and the follow-up homework summaries have been extremely helpful to keep everything straight. It makes investing in training time together outside of lessons much easier and motivating. We have had great progress so far, and we will continue until we reach our goals. There are not enough stars to give Jahaira and Andrew for how much they have taught my recently adopted pup Gabby and myself as well. Just on the introduction call, I learned some skills that already helped my dog when it came to meeting others. Gabby had some aggression issues and was not leash trained when I adopted her. It didn't take long to get her be responsive to me while on a leash, and her aggression is gone thanks to learning the proper way to train her. Jahaira and Andrew taught me how to problem solve with Gabby so when our lessons are complete, if any new issues come up, I will have learned the tools to adjust. We still have 3 more sessions to go and I am so excited to continue to learn how to work with my dog, and continue to grow this bond we have developed. Our house is much happier and calmer since we started working with Jahaira and I would happily recommend anyone who wants to improve their relationship with their dogs as well. We are grateful for Good Dawgs expertise. It is with this training we saw a turn around in our rescue pitbull's, Chichi, behavior. We were desperate. Despite the fact we felt we had given it our best shot with group dog training classes and us performing home followup, it came down giving it one last shot with a trainer or surrendering her. This was not our first dog, nor our first rescue, but it was the first time we recognized we were out of our depth. We wasted a lot of time and money in that class situation when we actually needed a focused one on one with Chichi. Our son had used Andrew and felt we should give him a try. Andrew, and his lovely and equally knowledgeable wife, Jahaira, showed us how to understand and address behaviors that we desperately needed to change. We learned so much about how a dog looks at the world and specifically how our dog looked at her world. That was so helpful!
