We had been to a couple of trainers with our dog, but he wasn’t consistently progressing. Leash walking was a particular problem that we could not seem to fix. Then we contacted Cheryl at Florida’s Five Star, and from the moment she entered the house, her gentle, calm approach held our dog’s complete attention, and for the first time, he began truly listening and learning. We were amazed! Cheryl is a skilled professional who really understands dogs and knows how to bring out the very best in them. Her method is innovative , humane and totally effective. We highly recommend her!

This was the worst experience ever. When I called on the phone and talked to her I told her there was only one issue with my Great Dane who is a rescue. And that only issue was is that he was overly social. There is not one aggressive bone in his body. All he wanted to do was jump and go play with any dog that he wanted to see.Finally at the 4th training session we touched base on that. We met at a dog park but she didn't even want to bring him where there were four dogs in a fenced-in area eventhough we would have been on the outside of the fence. This only showed me that she was afraid of my dog's size and power. She seemed to think that all dogs are the same and have to start from basics. My Dane was perfect on a leash. She wasted my time and my dog's time. She used a spray can and a light based laser in her training. All this did was freak him out. He is a rescue not all dogs are the same. She scared him so badly on the 4th attempt that he went straight down onto his back and did not move because she had terrorized him and traumatized him with spraying that can at him. She never even gave him a chance to see if my tugging on his prong collar would stop his jumping. She sprayed him the moment he jumped. She also sprayed that spray at him from behind my back with no warning to me when I was the one that had control of his collar. She very well could have hurt me or hurt my Dane. It was absolutely disgusting and you don't train any animal by making the dog scared. When we first met up in the parking lot on the 4th session, the first thing she did was show the spray can to my Dane and say, "are you going to behave"? To show a corrective tool to a dog before he even does anything wrong is nothing short of preposterous. She may be fine with basic training for small dogs as in sit, stay, lay down and recall but as to any other behavioral issues she is absolutely never the person that anyone should ever hire. I spent an awful lot of money for absolutely nothing other than for her to traumatize my rescue Dane. She absolutely knew that my Dane was a rescue and therefore she should have the knowledge to know that rescues may have underlying issues and you can't train them with aggression. How dare she abuse a dog that was already abandoned. Between my Dane and Cheryl, she was the only one that had aggression issues. This was absolutely abusive and I would never recommend her to anybody. Nice reply from someone who is supposed to be a professional. My Dane is not even close to an adult. He is barely 2 years old. You also put on your site that he is unaltered and removed the post after I corrected you. A trainer who is supposed to be paying attention to the dog she's training can't see that a 125lb great Dane doesn't have testicles? At his size they would never go unnoticed had you ever paid attention to him yet your excuse was "I'm always in front of the dog" even from the front you would see testicles that size. My Dane was ALWAYS perfect on a leash so do NOT give yourself ANY credit for that. My Dane's nonreactiveness in Lowe's had NOTHING to do with you. He had NEVER been reactive to noises so again do NOT give yourself credit for that My Dane would sit just fine before you ever came around. I didn't push it with him because he's a giant breed and takes a lot for them to keep sitting. You wasted my time with your basic training. You were aggressiv and abusive toward my rescue Dane. You should be ashamed of yourself. Stick to the small dogs that you can teach to sit pretty because you're a failure at training anything other than basic commands. Your "professional" reply shows how truly twisted you are in thinking you deserve even 1 star. You can gain control without being abusive and aggressive. You should read up on that. Enjoy the money that you scammed me out of.

Cheryl met our goals in 5 sessions. After the first session our rambunctious out-of-control puppy unbelievably improved. We tried group lessons, only made behavior worse. Her bad behaviors all but disappeared including digging in the yard. She follows commands, she has learned to control her behavior,, no longer frantic or anxiety ridden . Cheryl also taught us to be better equipped pet parents, and gave us good ideas (I researched to be certain) for health and well being. We highly recommend her to bring you and your pet into a positive family environment.
