Can a Malamute or Siberian husky be trained as a service or therapy dog?
Great question Beverly. It's not unheard of to see the breed in service of therapy dog work. As with any breed, it depends on temperament and aptitude for the work we are requiring of the dog.

How much is the service dog/therapy dog training class?
Hello Tansi, There are actually three different programs of this nature in our class line up. The Service Dog Skills and Professional Therapy Dog Skills classes are $100 for four weeks of training. The therapy dog training/certification is a two day course for $50. You can find all information regarding enrollment on our website www.welltrainedfamilydog.com, click on Training Classes and scroll down to the classes that interest you. Positive happy dog training. Looking forward to a puppy class
I like this place. They love working with dogs and their family.
Kelly and Janice are great. The classes actually demo and instruct. Compared to a chain of pet stores' offerings. My pup completed basic obedience and the service dog/ therapy dog class.
Although I was not a novice dog owner, I was a novice at training a dog well. They helped me achieve AKC designations of smart puppy, canine good citizen, and trick dog. The classes are a little pricier than others around town, which was the only thing preventing me from giving a 5th star.
