FirstBarkOur boy loves spending time with these wonderful people. We have boarded him multiple times and he has gone trekking. They are very knowledgeable and so loving. They treat our boy as though he were one of their own! Highly recommend working with them for all dogs!

About Doglingual Canine Training
Doglingual is a woman led, Latina, queer & veteran owned dog training and dog trekking company in the Portland metro area. Our goal is to provide balanced lifestyle dog training to the modern pet parent through hands on real world exposure, with a focus on but not limited to outdoor adventures (Hiking, swimming, brewery patio skills, etc.) enjoying public spaces, and enjoying your own home. We offer customized training plans with Private Lessons or Board & Trains for all ages; including small puppies and senior dogs. Trekking paws is an all day off leash adventure up on a trail in the mountains (long lines and e collars are welcome) If you’re going out of town we also offer basic in home (our home) boarding.

I don’t trust just anyone with my German Shepherd. That list is quite short. With that said, I don’t hesitate to send her off hiking for the day with Tamara and Carsyn and feel totally safe leaving her with them for extended stays while I’m out of town. Both myself and my dog have learned a lot from them over the past couple of years, and I highly recommend them for training, boarding, or just getting your dog out of the house for the day. They’ll always come back tired, happy, and better behaved than before.

Tamara is not only great with dogs but also owners - we have been able to work through our confidence with training, too. Tamara has been very responsive with texts and emails and is quick to provide resources and tips. Highly recommend Doglingual for training, for field days and board and train.

Cannot recommend Doglingual enough! My partner and I are extremely picky about who we leave our dog, Olive, with, and have very few people that we trust to take care of her. Tamara and Carsyn are 2 of those people! Within a few hours of dropping Olive off, she had already made herself at home at their place. She also had a blast on their Trekking Paws outing. I love that we can trust them to maintain our dog’s training and boundaries while still having lots of fun! They’re super communicative, which is much appreciated, and I trust that my dog is safe and cared for with them.

Absolutely love my experience with Doglingual!! I have a reactive doggo and they have offered me so much help and insight into how to keep him and his brain occupied. I had to attend a wedding out of town for the weekend and decided to give their boarding a shot and it was everything I could've asked for and more. I was very nervous because of his reactivity and before I even made it home after dropping him off, they sent me a picture of him looking so happy and comfortable(included)! 100% recommend and cannot wait to start our training journey with them as well!! Great people!!
