About Doglingual Canine Training
Doglingual is a woman led, Latina, queer & veteran owned dog training and dog trekking company in the Portland metro area. Our goal is to provide balanced lifestyle dog training to the modern pet parent through hands on real world exposure, with a focus on but not limited to outdoor adventures (Hiking, swimming, brewery patio skills, etc.) enjoying public spaces, and enjoying your own home. We offer customized training plans with Private Lessons or Board & Trains for all ages; including small puppies and senior dogs. Trekking paws is an all day off leash adventure up on a trail in the mountains (long lines and e collars are welcome) If you’re going out of town we also offer basic in home (our home) boarding.

Doglingual took our wild-child dog, Zen, on the best trek of his life! Doglingual cares and is conscientious. They have a joie de vivre that is infectious (in a good way!) that translates into a great time for dogs. I can't tell you how happy Zen was when he got home and oh so tired.
Absolutely love and trust Tamara and Carsyn with my love bug Ollie!!! They are both extremely knowledgeable, flexible and all around amazing people! I know my fur baby is in great hands, and it speaks VOLUMES that my dog goes absolutely crazy excited when he sees either Tamara or Carsyn! My pup also LOVES hanging out and playing with all their personal dogs as well 🙃 Highly recommend!!!!!!
Boarding my dog with Tamara was such a stress relief because I could trust that my dog was being looked after and that her training boundaries were being respected/enforced! My dog LOVES staying with them and gets so excited seeing Tamara. Definitely recommend!

I started doing private lessons with Dog Lingual and plan to do a few board and trains with them. I have a new husky/German/shepherd/? mix and he is such a good learner and sweet boy, however is somewhere between 1-3 years old and not socialized at all. He is very reactive outside of the house, and especially when other dogs around off leash. After one visit, Tamara gave me practical tips that work so well with Bosco. He responded immediately to her, and warmed right up. It’s already making such a huge difference in our daily routine together! A daily impact on our life 🙌🏼. I highly recommend them for training/boarding services.
