Dog Days Training Center

I highly recommend Dog Days Training Center. I have used them for 4 different dogs over the past 20 years. I completely trust the quality of care my dogs receive when staying for board and train. Laurie Buffington and her staff do an excellent job of teaching me why my dog is behaving the way she does, how to fix the negative behavior and how to stop it before it happens in the future. Laurie, Adam and Sally are patient with me and my dog giving me the tools to be a responsible and heads up dog owner.

There are simply not enough good things I can possibly say about Dog Days. As new dog owners, my wife and I knew we needed help in how to best train our pup. Dog Days came highly recommended from a friend, and we were not let down in the slightest. It was absolutely worth the one hour drive each way! They helped to change our lives, as well as our pup. The comprehensive approach they take to ensure you are giving clear signals, directions and commands to your dog, gave us a great deal of confidence. Quite frankly, it can feel terrible to give mixed messages to your dog, and it is obvious and evident that they are simply confused. Dog Days helps you to lead with clarity and be the very best dog parent/owner that you can be. We have done their beginner and intermediate classes and it is a powerful and enjoyable experience for the dogs to train in a group setting. We also utilize Dog Days for board and train when we travel for work or family. The excitement our dog experiences when we are within a one mile radius of the Dog Days property is unlike anything we typically see. To say it brings us joy as well, would be an understatement. Have I mentioned how gorgeous the physical property is? Located at the foothills of Rocky Mountain National Park, the training facility is absolutely pristine. From the barn, to open fields to the pond, it is second to none. If you have been thinking about doing any training with your dog regardless of their age or experience, Dog Days in unequivocally the place for you.

Laurie and Co have helped me tremendously with my now 20 month old German/Dutch Shepherd mix Kepler. We moved from a remote part of Oregon to Estes Park during the pandemic and my country dog did not have the appropriate social skills for the “city”. Through a direct approach and encouragement we have come a long way in the last 5 months and I now can enjoy walks with my dog with out being a side show for all the tourist. We still have work to do, but I am looking forward to continued improvement and building a better bond with great dog.
