Dog Days is a private training center located in Berthoud, Colorado. It is our mission to empower our clients to learn about their dog’s needs, strengthen their training skills, promote socialization, address behavioral shortcomings, and improve all areas of quality of life for a rewarding relationship between people and their dogs. Laurie Buffington, the owner and chief trainer, teaches people how they can “read” their dogs so they can reinforce desirable behaviors. Laurie believes that training people how to train their dog enables them to create a well-mannered dog that is a pleasure to have around.

One of the best choices we made when we first got our puppy was going to Dog Days Training Center right away. Laurie and Adam gave us incredibly helpful training tips that our whole family could utilize. They were available for follow up questions and support. Our puppy stayed at the training center as well to help us with some key needs, and he came back SO much better, the nipping (which was a huge issue) was almost non- existent after his stay. The value the center offers is VERY good and we felt it was worth every penny. Now our puppy is 17 weeks old and such an enjoyable and fun puppy! We are SO thankful!

Dog Days Training is an amazing way to provide socialization and training for your dog. They have been fantastic in every interaction I've had with them. They are professional, responsive, and friendly. We had our new puppy go through their board and train option for a few weeks and he is like a new dog - he is well-behaved and calm. I HIGHLY recommend looking to Dog Days for all of your dog training needs!

I was somewhat reluctant to leave my 4 month old lab with anyone when I had to go out of town for 10 days...but I researched trainers in the Metro Area and decided upon Dog Days. Even though the facility was over an hour drive away....I am very thankful that I found them. My puppy Bravo loved his time there and during the orientation and follow up training I could see firsthand the skill and love that they provide to the dogs there. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Laurie, Adam and crew are fabulous! They really understand your pet and their personality. They not only trained our Viszla but also trained us! So happy we did the board and train, we highly recommend!

Our adult Irish Setter is a lively, 90 pound beauty. Reddo started out a long-legged enthusiast, with extreme sight, smell and hearing senses. He was a real handful, until beginning puppy classes and training with Laurie, Adam and staff. The physical facility and variety of large-to-small dogs were just right for Reddo’s socialization.
