Dog Days Training Center

Dog Days Training Center is the absolute best and I'm beyond grateful we found the team! I can't imagine living through puppyhood again without their training, support and guidance. We were referred by a friend, and when space opened up for board and train, I felt like we had won the lottery. Our young bernedoodle pup came to us full of energy and spunk (and sweetness)-- but she was treating my children like puppy chow, eating through our furniture and generally throwing our lives into total disarray. After 3 weeks with Laurie and the team, our pup came home calmer and more confident, very ready to learn and work with us, and always looking to us for cues on how to behave. The nipping at the children stopped completely and she has since become everyone's best friend. We continue to go back to Laurie and the team for monthly refreshers and every time we come away amazed by how effective and impactful our training sessions are. There is so much that isn't intuitive about raising a pup, but the DDTC is so good about teaching us how to be great pet owners. I truly believe we would be lost without them. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Dog Days. My experience started with an informational call where 2 tips suggested by Adam shifted the dynamic with my puppy prior to board and train. After the program, some amazing books and feeding recommendations, my puppy, Bear and I have a partnership full of success and joy. Beyond wanting training skills for myself, I went to Laurie with a specific need as Bear was showing signs of food guarding early on. Laurie taught me about setting up successful environments and understanding my dog at a soul level. The training approach is one of abundance and fun, mixed with discipline. Bear and I are heading back this summer for some tune ups with the Dog Days team and find myself excited to learn more and fine tune skills. We had a fabulous experience at Dog Days Training Center! We sent our one year old Goldendoodle for 3 weeks of board and train. He has come back with so many improvements that we are continuing to reinforce. Before Crosby left for Dog Days, jumping was a major issue. Now that he is home we have the tools to reinforce the behavior that we want and he has learned that he is not in charge :) Crosby would often jump up and bite the leash while walking and when we would redirect he didn't seem to care. NOW - if he starts to do it I can use the noise that Laurie and Adam taught him and he immediately looks at me, stops the behavior and sits down! So awesome! While he was away, Adam did an amazing job communicating with us and sending pictures. I ended up having to pick Crosby up a little early because of a snow storm that was coming and Adam took the time to explain without rushing even though it was so last minute. Laurie sent a detailed report including articles with other tips and tricks that was super helpful! We will definitely be coming back for touch ups and whenever we go out of town Crosby will be staying there, no doubt!

Our family has been working with Dog Days since we adopted our boxer girl 2 years ago. They provided a great initial board and train session and we've gone back one every ~6 months since for 1-2 week tune ups. They have a friendly reliable staff, they get results and provide helpful feedback on how to encourage good behavior and work through undesired behavior. She's the best dog our family has had so naturally, we would use Dog Days again for all our dogs and also recommend them to our friends.

Wow. I can't say enough about Dog Days Training Center and Laurie and her team! When we first got our puppy from the Humane Society last February, we knew we wanted to do things differently this time around. We previously had two poorly behaved dogs and now realize that that was totally because we were not well trained dog owners! So when our pup was around five months we brought him to Dog Days for the first time for a meet and greet. We communicated with Adam who was so clear and made the whole process smooth! Then we sent our pup for the 2 weeks Board and Train. I can tell you that this was worth every penny. He came back so much calmer and listening so well to our commands. He had been nipping at the kids and he stopped doing that. He was crate trained. He looked to us for permission to do things and it felt like we all learned how to communicate so well with each other. He comes when we call. It is an entirely different experience with this dog. We are so glad we decided to use Dog Days. And we have used them since for boarding when we go away and he is so happy to be there-he loves it!
