Dog Days Training Center

We took our pup here because we realized he was going to be much bigger than we expected and decided that he needed really solid training. Laurie and her team are fantastic and go beyond just training. They understand more about dog behavior (versus cookie-cutter training) than places I've previously taken dogs for training. They tailored his training to his specific breeds and personality and educated us about what to expect from him based on this. Everything that she said for us to expect has been spot-on for our pup. We took him there when he was around five months old and are so glad we did! They were able to help him and us establish good routines and behaviors before bad habits were formed. Highly recommend!

Dog Days Training Center in Berthoud has a great 14-day board and train program for your pup, no matter what their age. It helped our labradoodle learn some basic commands and good behavior. When we arrived to pick her up, we learned how to work with her to continue her training at home. We had as much to learn as she did! We have since boarded her there when we’ve gone on vacation and we always know that she is in good hands. It’s nice to go away and not worry about our pup!

Where do I even begin with how AMAZING Dog Days training is. If you are looking to get your puppy or dog trained, I highly recommend Dog Days. Laurie, Adam, Sally and the rest of the training team are incredible! Their vast knowledge and experience truly shows by what they teach the dog, and most importantly, the owners. We got our lab puppy at 8 weeks old and quickly realized we were in for more than we could handle, especially having two other dogs at home. I was in tears almost daily with frustration with controlling the puppy. We had our puppy evaluated by Dog Days and he then entered their training program which began with a 3 week stay at the board and train. Even at the evaluation, Laurie and Adam gave excellent tips on how to begin training and teaching our puppy how to live in our world and be in tune with us as his owners. It is clear that the trainers are well educated and care about the dogs and take pride in what they do. Their positive-reinforcement techniques are wonderful. We took our puppy to board and train around 4 months old, and he came back almost a new dog! It is worth every penny! He listened much better and overall was much more controllable. The work they do with your dog and how much they care about them is truly indescribable. The passion they have to make sure your dog is able to be a good dog-citizen with other dogs and around humans is incredible. We have since taken our dog back a few times for 4-5 day boarding/training sessions and we are pleased every time our pup comes back from training. We are very consistent in keeping up with the training program at home and it has paid off tremendously. Plus, our dog LOVES to go to “camp” and especially likes to swim in their lake! We highly recommend Dog Days and will continue to take our pup there for ongoing training and boarding.
