I cannot even begin to say enough wonderful things about Ricky and Divine Canine Solutions! We adopted very large sibling puppies and we knew we had our work cut out for us. Our dogs are a mixed breed and part of their lineage is quite headstrong and not always great at taking commands. You'd hardly even know it since we have been training with Ricky. The biggest standout factors for me are: 1) He doesn't just teach the dogs commands. He teaches us how to work with our dogs, how to build the relationship and the bond. He helps us understand why we should do a certain thing a certain way or why to avoid particular behaviors. We have seen such astounding improvement in our pups since we've been working with Ricky. 2) He understands that real life doesn't take place in a training studio. He came to our home for private sessions, worked with us out in our yard, on walks around our neighborhood. Real life. Since we finished our round of private training, we take the dogs every week to a training class that's out in public, somewhere busy with plenty of other humans and dogs to provide potential distractions. I cannot say enough good things. HIGHLY recommend!

I’ve had many dogs and experience with a number of trainers but Ricky is unique. Not only does he have a real love and connection with the dogs, he is very effective communicating with the owners. He emphasizes and provides techniques for building a relationship of trust with your dog which then translates into his whole “urban dog” concept. Training with Ricky gives you confidence in yourself and your dog and takes your relationship to a higher level.

I got my Husky puppy Meeko at 7 weeks old and knew that I needed to start her in training right away. Being new to the area and not wanting a basic level 1, 2, and done training class, I asked my vet techs for recommendations and 2 immediately said go to Ricky! Ricky took us at 8 and a half weeks old (picture one) and we started from there. We have been in classes once a week since then (she is now 10 months) and have been steadily progressing. Not only does Ricky instruct in small class sizes, he addresses things there and he makes recommendations for correcting behaviors at home. Each week he continues to check in on those, hold us accountable, and give us the skills and the confidence to try new things. Between my vet, my family, and other husky owners we have come across, everyone is very impressed with her progress which would never have happened without Ricky and Divine Canine.

I highly recommend Divine Canine Solutions. Ricky has been working with my now 2.5yr old Golden Retriever Willow since she was a puppy. Ricky’s approach is more than just training your dog it’s working with the owner and dog as a team providing them skills to succeed based on their goals. Willow was attacked by a pitbull while I was walking her in November, 2018. Her confidence was shaken and I called Ricky to ask for help. With Ricky’s private lessons and Urban Canine classes Willow has steadily rebuilt her confidence. It’s a wonderful to see how my relationship with Willow has strengthened over time, thank you Ricky!!

Recently, my wife and I adopted a rescue pup we named Cleo, but it felt like it couldn't have been at a worse time with our busy schedules and three little kids - five, three, & a one year old. This wasn't our first dog so naturally we thought we could train her as we had done in the past with other dogs, but it seemed we were quickly fighting an up hill battle with her training and not making any progress. I wasn't sure if it was us or Cleo, but I was starting to think that all hope was lost. Enter Ricky Jones from Divine Canine Solutions who absolutely came to our rescue. So far we have had one private session and attended five of his drop-in group sessions and we couldn't be happier with the progress we have made. Ricky's training methods work and his style running the group sessions shows that he really cares about everyone's success in the class. As of now, I couldn't be happier with the results we have gotten so far. Before we got started with Ricky, my dog was interested in everything else but me. Now Cleo & I can walk together in public spaces and I can command her full attention. There is definitely lots of work to be done still but I will no doubt continue to use Divine Canine Solutions.
