Divine Canine Solutions

We brought our new German Shepard puppy to the vet for her puppy shots. Our puppy was super excitable, she wouldn't listen and it was difficult for the vet to examine her. Our vet proceeded to point out that if we wanted our pup to become a great companion that this dog was going to need an experienced trainer. Her breed required training and discipline or she could become a liability vs an asset. Our vet recommended, "Divine Canine Solutions" and Ricky Jones was the trainer. We called Ricky right away. Ricky explained and outlined his dog training philosophy. In three short classes (with homework) using his dog training principles, our pup has turned into a well behaved "mans best friend" kind of dog. Ricky teaches his clients how to satisfy a dogs "innate physical needs" and also how to "mentally connect" with a dog. Ricky's training method has made our "good dog" into a "great dog" in just a few short weeks. Ricky makes himself available for any questions that may come up around training so that he is very supportive to his clients. We cant thank you enough, Ricky!

When we couldn't solve our dog's behavior problems ourselves, we turned to Divine Canine Solutions. We were very happy with DCS! We took private lessons and group sessions. Our teacher, Ricky, encouraged us to ask questions, and to text whenever we needed help. We received plenty of tips on how to handle our dog in a low-stress manner. Through this training, we built a more trusting relationship with our dog, and helped her to calm down and think for a minute before she reacts. There's a training schedule, so you'll have to practice with your dog every day. But if you're wiling to roll up your sleeves and get to work, you'll see great improvements in your dog's behavior! Training with DCS is a wonderful way to learn more about your dog. We can't recommend it enough.

Training with Ricky of Divine Canine Solutions made me realize (in a positive way, there’s no judgement or negativity!) just how much more my dog Luca and I still needed to learn, not just about obedience, but about communicating with each other. My dog is reactive on leash and I was looking for a trainer to help me with that issue. Ricky taught me about understanding Luca’s needs, the role that plays in his behavior, and setting him up for success. After participating in just a few of Ricky’s Urban Canine group classes (held outdoors in public places with real life distractions), the transformation in Luca’s behavior, focus, and his bond with me was amazing! We continue to attend group class on a regular basis and have made training a part of our everyday life….I can’t recommend Ricky and DCS enough!
