Dean's List K9 Training LLC

We got a 8 week old German Shepherd puppy. She is very active and intelligent. We were looking for a trainer to help us with her training. What we were looking for was basic obedience, on lead and off lead, etc. We found Dean’s List K9 Training on line and they offered at home training and board and train plus much more. So we decided to give them a try, our trainer is Rachel Gayle. We started with the basic obedience training course. We liked Rachel so much that when we finished the basic course we decided to sign BeBe up for a four week board and train. Rachel has been outstanding, she loves what she does and loves the dogs. She has accomplished everything we were looking for and then some. Rachel has been a joy to work with and we recommend her unequivocally to anyone looking for training. Thank you Rachel Gayle for helping BeBe to be all that she can be. Oh by the way even though she finished the hands on training she isn’t done, she remains available for life. Our one year Australian Shepard has hip dysplasia and we needed to get his jumping under control for his health. Harvey also had a counter surfing problem and the day he came out of the kitchen with a knife in his mouth I knew I needed help. I called Dean’s and was scheduled with our trainer Rachel. I was on the fence about using a e-collar, Rachel was fantastic in explaining how to properly use one and the advantage they have, especially with the counter surfing and the danger Harvey could be in. All of our meetings were very successful and Rachel was so supportive of us and Harvey that I couldn’t ask for a better experience! A little under two weeks and no more counter surfing and the jumping had decreased significantly! We were able to use our other appointments to work on off leash training and his fear of the car. We can now go anywhere with a very happy dog who willingly jumps in the car! Rachel was available for any concerns I had and would check in on us between appointments to see how things were going and if we needed anything while working with Harvey. I highly recommend Rachel with Dean’s!

Emily from DLK9 absolutely changed our lives with the training she provided to my 4 year old labs, Apollo and Artemis. We did a 2-week board and train for each of them, separately, first Apollo and then Artemis (back to back). Prior to training, this duo was (I'm not kidding) practically semi-feral. Due to life circumstances that came about soon after I got them as puppies, I was not able to give them the attention they needed which led to me having to keep them somewhat isolated and segregated from our general household for the first few years of their lives. They had absolutely no house manners and only responded to the most basic commands, had no recall, and they had extreme prey drive toward our cats which caused some dangerous situations and close calls on multiple occasions. Around my son, they did not know how to play gently and often knocked him down when trying to interact. They had a very unsettled and anxious mindset and were just generally all over the place. Since completing training, I have been able to fully integrate them into the main part our home, even with cats roaming (albeit still at a safe distance), and they are able to relax and play safely with me and my son. I'm even able to take them out in public now without fear of major mishaps. If you have the resources to provide this training for your dogs, I one million percent recommend DLK9 - our trainer Emily helped me exit the spiral of guilt and shame that I felt toward my beautiful, sweet dogs by giving me the tools and knowledge I needed to give them their rightful place in our family. I will FOREVER be grateful!!

I can’t thank Savannah enough for the incredible work she did with Hadley! Before training, he would constantly pull on the leash to the point where we couldn’t take him on walks, he would bark at everything, jumped on me, my kids, guests…(anything that got in his line of sight!!), counter surfed, and a whole lot of general defiance. From the very beginning, Savannah brought a calm, confident energy that instantly made a difference. She didn’t just train my dog — she taught me how to communicate clearly and consistently, which was key. Now, we are able to take walks with and without the leash, my counters are safe, and Hadley actually listens. The transformation has been amazing — I have a calmer, more responsive, and well-behaved dog, and a lot less stress in my day-to-day life. I can’t recommend Savannah enough. She communicated throughout the 2 weeks he was with her, posted videos so I could see day to day progress, and was so flexible with my ever changing schedule! She truly changed our lives!!
