We are a dog training company in Avon, CT. We do not have dogs for sale or adoption here. But we are so sorry for your loss.
However, we do work tirelessly with New England Puppy Rescue who helps save all the lost and abandoned puppies. We have pups that just arrived to our safety, with two in foster care at our home now (they are Shepherd/Cattle dog mixes). They will be up on New England Puppy Rescue website by the end of this week. Go fill out an application today!

Last summer, I ran into a friend of mine walking on the trail with her formerly highly reactive dog and was amazed at the change in her now calm and controlled dog - and she referred me to Bee & Derrick. This was nearly a year ago, and Bee has become a permanent fixture in our family, getting us through lots of trials and tribulations with one puppy through her adolescence, working with a new adult rescue, and now we are excited to have her work with a new adoption! Bee is down to earth, gives practical training advice that is realistic, kind and gentle, and WORKS! As someone who has had many rescues and has a lot of experiences with other trainers, I have learned so much from Bee and wouldn’t choose anyone else!

I agree with previous reviewer Melissa, it’s all been said. This group is knowledgeable, caring and really take the time to work with you and your dog/puppy. I’ve taken multiple classes with them and look forward to more. Also the training facility is top notch. It’s spacious and very clean. They have an amazing variety of classes, services, products and private training.

Canis Mountain Dog Training is literally the best! I was nervous about getting a dog trainer because many people have questionable methods. But at Canis they are all certified and you can tell they are genuine and really care about training dogs properly! Highly recommend them if you are in the area!

We adopted Adaline at almost a year old after she was a stray and run over in Memphis, TN. Needless to say, she had NO idea what walking on a leash was. She excitedly reacted towards pretty much everything. We have had both private lessons with Bee and took the loose leash class. She is now a different dog on leash, walking by our side - it is hard to believe how far she's come. Bee and Derrick have taught us invaluable skills that the more WE practice those skills, the more improvement we see. If you want real deal dog trainers teaching positive reinforcement that works, they are the best around!

This is HANDS DOWN the best dog training facility in the area. Bee and Derrick are so incredible at what they do. All of my dogs absolutely love them and we’ve come so far with their help!
