Thank you for your inquiry. No. CTCorps does not currently require its therapy animals to be altered.

What type of training does the dog have to have to participate?
Enough training where a dog can pass every part of the test. The dog must score a 100% to pass the test.

CTC is the only place that should be on your list if you’re looking for quality dog training in Chicago. My partner and I completed the 6-week Foundations course with our very anxious, two-year-old pit/chow rescue pup. Prior to the Foundations course, our “training” consisted of YouTube videos that were never comprehensive enough for us to use long term, leaving us confused and frustrated with the lack of progress we were making. After our first class with CTC, we left with practical, positive-reinforcement strategies we could begin implementing as soon as we got home with just a leash, collar, and a lot of high value treats. As the class progressed week to week, we noticed our pup making incredible strides and responding really well to the strategies the CTC trainers taught us. The trainers are true experts at what they do and work patiently with each of the dogs and their handlers during class. We plan on continuing training with CTC in their Intermediate and Advanced classes! Can’t recommend this organization enough!
We brought our adopted 2 year old dog, Leo to Canine Therapy Corps’ Foundations dog training class and couldn’t recommend it enough! The trainers were excellent and provided in-class and at-home resources that have lasted. Anyone looking for puppy, beginner, to advance dog training should work with CTCorps!
