Canine Perspective Dog Training: Lincoln Park Office

I rarely leave reviews but I can only say great things about Jesse and Canine Perspective. I have a very wonderful but extremely reactive rescue that I had been in intensive training with when I lived on the east coast. We had managed to give him a normal, happy, and social (albeit controlled setting) life. When we moved to Chicago, we back slid tremendously and Jesse was the only trainer we could find that was up to the challenge. He has provided amazing discipline for Taco and has the only boarding facility I trust to leave my dog in. His staff is wonderful and my dog is always happy and bouncing in to come to Canine Perspective for boarding or lessons.

Harley has been with Canine Perspective since he was 12 months old. Jesse and his team did an awesome job training this mischievous Great Dane. This is the place to care for your dog! Harley loves his daycare and vacation days at Canine Perspective. The staff is just fenomenal and the service on point. I admit I am a very difficult customer when it comes to scheduling Harley due to my job. Just the treatment & communication I receive from CP is priceless. My dog has this extra sense. He is always excited to go with the CP team. Happy dog makes a happy owner! Thank you for all you do and flexibility with us!

We took our (then) 10 month old, very excitable (and sometimes anxious) black Labrador retriever to Jesse and even after just one training session, our lives were changed. Jesse has unlocked so much for Farley, and for us, to the point where Farley can walk in a perfect heel with us both on and off leash, know his boundaries in how he should behave, and is often complimented on his behavior (and not just his looks). While Canine Perspective offers board and train programs, or daycare and train programs, we opted to do the in-person training where Jesse instructs us on what to do, and we worked with Farley with Jesse's supervision. Jesse explains the "why" behind training in such a great way, which was of great benefit to my fiancee and I for understanding what Farley needs to be the best version of himself, and for Farley to properly know what we're asking of him. We were also recently able to utilize their daycare services, and their boarding services, which are amazing. While some facilities just let the dogs run around all day and do whatever they want, we really appreciate that because he was trained there and we've incorporated that training into our life and in our house, that same training is utilized during daycare, so it's a bit like you get to pick up your dog who has spent all day having some fun socializing with other dogs, but you also have the benefit of knowing he's gotten some training practice in too. If you ever see videos of how structured their daycare/boarding facility is, you'll notice just how quiet it is, which comes from the structure they're implementing.
