TLDR: Jesse at Canine Perspective is truly the most talented dog trainer I've ever met. I rescued a very reactive, fearful adult dog two years ago and knew I needed the best of the best to help acclimate her to everyday life. After doing a lot of research on the topic, all signs led to Jesse & Canine Perspective. It was truly the best investment we made for our dog as the 1 on 1 training sessions helped empower our rescue dog to enjoy all of the parts of life she was too fearful/reactive to do prior- such as socializing with other dogs, playing fetch at the park, not pulling on the leash during walks or jumping out at trucks/cars, and more. Jesse + his office were super transparent and communicative about expectations, methods, and goals. He is an expert who has years and years of professional + personal experience, and it shows in his work and his results. This is my third dog and I can say from personal experience that not all training is effective, nor worth your money- so when you find someone like Jesse who is- it's worth it. Truly one the best in Chicago. Changed our life with our dog.

We like every session and look forward to going. Training has made walks enjoyable for all of us! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Our rescue, Gordo became human and dog reactive. As a 75lb pit mix, he was hard to control since he pulled on walks and it just intimidated everyone. After working with Jesse and explaining his behaviors and how to address them, we have been able to set Gordo up for success when bringing in people to our home! Sometimes on shorter walks I won't even use his ecollar and he never pulls! He has responded so well with the ecollar and has listened to us better without it as well. It has overall helped our relationship with him and vise versa. We are so grateful!
